Why would he do this? Did he say..."you're not fricking up my championship, McElwain."

If he didn't give him a good review, basically saying he's not all that good, then why would Saban want to keep him around? Unless the plan is to keep him for another month and then fire him.

I heard the reason that it didn't work was the "buyout" clause in McElwain's contract. Everything else was set for go except for that including salary, assistants, etc.
