The Wolfe computer is the key. I think they have Alabama 2 and that ends it for Okie unless Okie is 5 points ahead in the Harris (not happening).

I thought the wolfe poll almost takes Alabama over the top no? As in makes it REALLY hard for OSU to have a chance.

True. It all depends on that one poll. The voters did their part, but the Baylor win over Texas really hurt the pokes.

I'd put it more around 75/25 Bama. I doubt Andy Staples is lying, and even if he's mistaken OSU had a pretty substantial gap to make up in Wolfe to catch Bama. The Sagarin ratings not moving at all are what really screwed OSU

So the odds are favoring us at this point?

Yes. Not a definite, but it does seem like Bama established just enough of a lead to barely hold on.

this year should just show how much of a joke cfb is. this basically is a coin flip to see who plays in the nc.

If Okie st is a unanimous 2 in the comps, their corresponding bcs rating for this is .96 while bama's is .92.

But we already know they aren't. There is at least one computer that kept the ranking, so it is pretty safe to assume that there will be at least one more out of the remaining 5.

Making it so that the computers and coach's poll leads for OSU and bama basically negating each other.

No it isn't.

Is this a fact?

It all boils down to the computers. If we get two of the computers, then OSU has to pass us in the Harris Poll. If we only get one computer, they only have to be within 53 points.

Last night I probably would have agreed with that. After today's developments, I'd rather not.

Indeed.

I've got a coin. You want to call in in the air for Bama?

I just don't think anyone has seen the computers yet. I'm pretty sure they have a contract with espn to not reveal any of that.

This is what really confuses me.
Before the Auburn game weekend where okie st was idle, the sagarin ratings were:
Bama - 98.90
Okie St - 98.03
After that weekend when bama beat then #17 in the elo chess Auburn, it jumped to:
Bama - 99.56
Okie St - 97.18
Then after Okie state beats the #6 team in the elo chess it just goes to
Bama - 99.49
Okie st - 97.81

That just makes no sense at all.

Didnt anyone else see Kirk Herbsreit and Musbergers saying basically it WOULD be Bama vs LSU as a sign that some of these computer people had all ready dont the formula ,with OSU winning and with OSU losing ,and had passed on that either way unless the polls changed it would be Bama vs LSU ? They sounded as if they all ready knew, anone else pick that up ?

Is this the guy that had LSU at number 3 in his first BCS projection this year?

LSU is the national champ now. WE are 13-0, West Div champ, SEC champ, and beat Bama at home in front of 100,000 people in a game of the century.

Let Bama play OSU to decide who is number 2.

It's amazing that who plays in the BCSNCG will be decided by one dumbass computer poll and we have no clue about its formula for ranking teams.

What?

They don't know anything. ESPN has been really pushing for a rematch for some reason though.

so you're basing your 50/50 shot on the fact that you think the rumors about the computer ranking are false? Not that OSU will pass us in the harris?
