Me too. It wouldn't be fair to whichever team wins on Saturday.

This. The team that wins will have to win the SECCG while the other just gets a bye into the BCS title game.

If Bama were to lose to LSU and end up playing Boise in the Sugar Bowl it could be Utah all over again. Hopefully not, but it wouldn't be unheard of for a Bama team to mail it in for a consolation bowl game. Bama fans are terrible about not giving a frick once a championship is out of play.

Well, that also comes with their offense being as good as it is... They can score fast. One could argue that they give up a lot more yards and points because their offense is so fast paced and high scoring.

For some reason, I think Okie State's offense would give Bama more trouble than LSU.

Oklahoma, they're more complete overall. I'd put money that they win in Bedlam

A less talented Bama team beat Texas Tech, a less talented version of OSU, a few years back in the Cotton Bowl.

I will take a ball control offense and stiff defense over a high powered offense anyday.

Bama wouldn't have an answer for Blackmon probably, but Trent would gash their defense for 10 ypc and 200+ yds.

I could not disagree more with you gentlemen. Here is why:

The BCSNCG is for the 2 best teams in the nation. Not the 2 best teams that have not played each other or are from whatever conference. No matter it be a re match or not, the premise of the game is for the 2 best teams to play and where we sit today, the 2 best teams are LSU and Alabama.

LSU might be ranked higher in that scenario since their loss to Bama would look better than a UA loss to AU, unless AU were to win out and look very impressive in the process.

The more I watch OSU, the less enamored I am with them. Sure they can score, but if their opponent doesn't turn the ball over (like Bama or LSU), they can't stop anybody either. It seems like every team they play turns it over 4-5 times a game.

I think OU is a much more well-rounded team that will be up for the game and not forget to play a half like they did against TTU.

Bama is bama's obstacle. It's not what they do but what we fail to do. Honest....

personally, I dont think any team is even close to LSU or BAMA this season. I dont think any team will even come close to LSU or BAMA. Ask yourself this question when thinking about the BCSNC. Who do you think would meet at the end of a college football playoff this year?

I know some will find this funny, but I think Stanford is a nightmare matchup.

-They do a ton of shifting and motioning, which always seems to give Bama problems.
-They are going to keep us in 3-4 personnel instead of nickel, which isn't our specialty.
-They have one hell of a QB that will be able to convert 3rd downs and scramble away from pressure.
-They run the football. This isn't your daddy's Pac-10 team. They are a power football team with 2 or 3 NFL caliber TE/H back types.

Stanford

They are physical. Not as physical as Bama/LSU, but they are tough. Neither team will face a QB that is in the same zip code as Luck.

It's Stanford for me, too.

There have been plenty times this year for both LSU & Bama, where opponents should have converted 3rd downs passing but the QB's were slightly off in accuracy, and quite a few of those times, it wasn't because of a Bama/LSU pass rush, but rather because they were just rushing the ball due to previous hurries.

Whereas, an accurate, decisive, & poised QB like Luck would extend drives that lesser QB's normally go 3 & out, providing Stanford in-game growing confidence that they can move the ball on either of us & compete. Combined with their pro-style 3 & 4 TE formations, they are physical in the running game and have productive play-action game. They'd probably give Bama-LSU the toughest matchup.

With that said, watch Stanford go out & lose to Oregon.
