Rules for thee but not for me. That's an MCI transit D model bus. Has a Detroit 60 motor in it. NO DEF stuff in that bus, it's probably a 2002 model. Civilians aren't allowed to operate a bus like that in the state of CA.

As someone who does federal DOT inspections for a living, all those firetrucks should be able to pass a DOT inspection or shouldn't be on the road in the first place. Wouldn't want a firetruck going to a fire and kill somebody on the way because the brakes aren't working right. All those trucks should easily pass the inspection, and if they don't, they shouldn't be driving on public roads to being with.
FYI, any truck that size is subject to being pulled over by state DOT at anytime and having an inspection done right then and there.

Got into diesel mechanics at 32. 5 years in and I'm now a maintenance manger making 80k. I still turn a wrench when needed, but it's a hybrid position. A couple more years in the trade and I'll never turn a wrench again. Work is hard and heavy for a while until you get some experience under your belt. Not a bad trade once you're 4-5 years in

This isn't a tit for tat kind of subject. Free speech is the most important thing to a free country. It's the most important amendment, that's why it's the first one. Protecting free speech also means protecting their right to disagree with free speech
