Is Tyler Wilson REALLY the best QB in the SECW?

If so, what makes him such? because it isn't TD/INT ratio... just yards?

Just wondering why he isn't putting the unbelievable stats up yet. Arky fans were leading me to believe that it'd be a seamless transition from Mallett to Wilson. I know the guy is good but he isn't where I thought he would be quite yet.

He's had a pretty solid first year IMO.

I think because he doesn't have a good rush team to keep defenses honest. Defenses know what he will do, but not all of them can stop him from sustaining drives and scoring.
I think his balance between game manager and game changer makes him the best QB in the SEC.

Why don't you just say you think Lee is the best QB in the SECW? That's why you started the thread.
Wilson is play despite playing behind an O-Line that replaced 3 starters and struggling to find a running game for the first several weeks of the season. Dude takes a beating and still puts up very good numbers.

I don't know if he's the best but he's pretty damn impressive considering the O-line and very little running game.

Only QB to throw for over 500 yards this season in a single game (against A&M).

I say it's Lee and JJ.
1a and 1b.
1a and 1b.

That's a great point.

Don't know about currently, but a couple of games ago he was ahead of Ryan Mallet's season yardage pace of last year.

he is the best of a bad group. Luck Foles Weeden Barkley Landry Jones, Texas Tech Qb Tannehill K. Moore all make SEC qb play look very pedestrian

yea, he's having a rough year. some accuracy and progression issues coupled with a swiss cheese OL will do that to ya. i'll admit Wilson is the better QB right now, just hoping to get a pissed off flagshipper

Agreed. With LSU or 'Bama's line propping him up he'd getting AA accaim IMO. He will play on Sundays.
