My thinking exactly. I think if A&M comes to the SEC that they will be able to pull in more of the state's top talent by saying "Come play in the SEC, the greatest conference in the nation, and you don't even have to leave the state of Texas."

I'll believe that when I see it. Texas has always gotten whoever they wanted out in-state. A&M not playing Texas anymore wouldn't help them, IMO.

Simply not true. While the floor for UTa recruiting isn't as low as A&M's floor is. There has been extended periods of time when A&M outrecruited UTa

its gonna be hard to rule texas when a&m is struggling to be bowl eligible. LSU,bama,arky,auburn and state are all better programs than them currently.

yeah, they sucked at the time. But don't you think there is at least some correlation to one team being up and the other being down?

No, they haven't In the late 80s, early 90's A&M got everyone they wanted. Probably because Jackie Sherrill had the highest payroll, but still...

Missouri is the other team that has been rumored to follow suit with A&M... that being said i'm not sure how i feel about all this now

only because yall are being over rated. arky has already proven a&m cant hang with them.
its not even possible that a&m could be on the same level as LSU or bama currently is. LSU and bama aren't going away. arky gets stronger and as long as merlins is at state they would beat a&m.

And what was their record last year? I don't see the point in your question. Is there some sort of guarantee that UT will forever be the best team in the state?

I would love to see aTm to the sec. I would like to see LSU with a true rivalry and not a manufactured one in a boot or over a coaching change. Someone mentioned Bama going to the east but it would likely be Auburn since they are further east than Tuscaloosa. Love to see Missouri and aTm here and think both programs would benefit and become better football programs.

the biggest worry about a&m being in the sec besides animal rape going up is other teams focusing in on texas. I do think the issue of recruiting is being over blown though because its not like teams dont recruit the area now. it gives them better access but with the way every game is on tv now im not sure how much more it helps.

I just don't think the Aggies can really compete with Texas consistently. Yeah, I know, someone will bring up the last 30 years or whatever, but Texas will always be more relevant.

i think its the same old shite aggies get loud about wanting to leave texas laughs and says shut up they throw a fit and go away. few days later they start their crying up again and texas has to put them in timeout again.
