LOL, that was the highest?

We've had 7 drafted in the first round in the past three years.

And NONE have made it to college. I'd rather recruit players who plan on playing for us and not in the minors.

Our 5th rounder Brandon Woodruff is a 2 way player who has led his Tupelo 49'ers American Legion team to the Finals of the AL World Series. He is 6'5" 210 and played in last summers Under Armour AA game.

All the top programs have recruits that are drafted in round 1-2. Don't make excuses. Cohen doesn't get the elite players in case they don't sign, because he can't.

We had 12 signees drafted, and 8 made it to campus. Pretty good ratio.

We had no real chance of seeing Nimmo in a Hog uniform. Not sure that us being used as blackmail material to get kids a better signing bonus is something to be proud of.

Who said it was? Al said they don't sign them because they wanna get the kids to campus blah blah stuff, and I told him it's not the reason.

Florida, Arkansas, LSU, Texas, South Carolina, UCLA, Etc, etc. will always recruit the first round talent players if they can get them, because of that chance that they will come to school like Karsten Whitson, Gerrit Cole, Matthew Purke, Aaron Crowe etc, because they can be program changers.

95% of the time if they don't sign, is because of Money. Take Greg Bird for example, I was like 5th round.. YEAH! Then I saw the Yankees. They payed him 7 times over slot to get him. Any other team drafted him, he would be Arkansas bound.

And? Van Horn recruits his arse off. We have gotten guys who have been drafted in the first 5 rounds.

We'll lose two of these guys. Maybe 3, Howard is from Arkansas and wants to be a Hog. Nimmo is most likely gone if he gets the money he wants, same for Fulmer. And you said all of our players in the top 5 rounds are gone, that includes McCann because he is a Junior and IS going .

Sorry the reality of things had to hit you in the face. Could of just listened to me and that would have lessened the blow. Nonetheless I'll wait for your apology.

Excited about Bird. Yet another quality catcher in the Yankees farm, if he does play catcher.

If not, still a quality bat.

Getting Cave from LSU and Bird from Arky

(My personal favorite Yankees signings)

Derrick Bleeker is coming back to Arkansas.

He transferred away to JUCO last season, and was drafted in the 37th round by the Nats, but didn't sign and he will transfer back to Arkansas.

He was the #9 JUCO in the nation last season according to BA.

MSU had no player drafted in the 8th round.

Outside of Woodruff only Lindgren (12th round) and this new guy Flair (who was never going pro) were drafted.
