Got a new one in 2005. McGee exited in the winter of 2004/2005 with Louuuuuuuuuu. His last act was hiring the HBC.

I'm not sure about this kid. He claims to be shy but with all the appearances he has made on ESPN, magazine covers, and now delaying his decision to his birthday, he seems to really enjoy being in the national spotlight. USCe can never give him the recognition that being on a national title contending power program like Alabama can.

Glad you asked. Eric Hyman was brought on in 2005 to replace the retired Mike McGee. McGee was a good athletic director, but didn't allocate money in the best ways for our athletics. Hyman, with a strong business background, put a LOT of emphasis on venues. We built a new stadium for the baseball team and added many new features to WBS.

In other words... Yes, and it has paid off largly.

Playing for South Carolina sure has hurt Alshon Jeffrey and Marcus Lattimore's name recognition.

We played just as many games on national TV as you did. Oh, and ask Gilmore, Holloman, Alshon, Lattimore and Garcia how it's doing for their recognition.

Nice sig pic

These kids don't think this stuff up on their own. They're "encouraged" by ESPN so they have something to talk about and hype.

I'm absolutely, 100%, without a doubt sure about this kid. I want him in Tuscaloosa.

Yes.

It took two of the greatest underclassmen the SEC has seen in 10 years for a USCe player to have name recognition.

It would be a poor choice for anyone looking for recognition to go to USCe. You simply will not play for BCS titles. Not even a Sugar Bowl.

He would be unreal in Alabama's defense, now that the DL is set for the next 2-3 years, but he's unfortunately staying in-state.

You're right. Lattimore and Alshon both should have gone to Bama/LSU so they could've played in the SECCG this year. Oh, wait...

Let's be honest, USCe was very lucky that UT, UF, and UGA were all terrible last year. I wouldn't count on that happening often.

Sidney Rice, Dunta Robinson, Eric Norwood, Jasper Brinkley, etc.

If you don't know the names of the good players from a school in your own conference then you are willful ignorant (unless it's Vandy in which case you're excused).

Yes we run a 3-4 and he would be nasty as a pass rushing OLB/DE hybrid

Please understand the defense before trying to use it against Alabama.

And Florida got lucky when they won the NC a few years back when they had to play 4 7-5 teams too, right? Give me a break.

We'll contend for years to come, especially with our consistency in recruiting and ability to keep the good in-state players at home. Things are changing, and ya gotta start somewhere.
