but I don't think any team in the country could have beat Alabama yesterday. Alabama got every opponent's best game this year and were a few plays away from being undefeated. Alabama was ranked 16th because of the 3 losses and will probably end up around 10. However, Alabama is a top 5 team. Can't wait for next year, Roll Tide

Agreed. I'd say the same about the first half of the Auburn game.

When Bama is playing well there are only a few teams that can beat them. The problem is they played a few of them this season.

Young teams tend to do that.

True, but those 4 or 5 sucky quarters this year cost them 3 games.

The thing about bama is the last couple of years the difference between them and the rest of the west was bigger....but now that gap has been closed. The SEC west is just scary good right now.

you are what your record says you are...especially since you didn't have any huge, prolonged injuries

that being said you're the best 3 loss team in history

That was the first complete game we played this season. We only have 8 seniors and depending on who stays and who goes, we are going to be a force to be reckoned with. BAMA is loaded at every postition.

ROLL TIDE!!

Bama's best is probably better than any other SEC team's best...truth.

Agreed... and to add, Saban said it best on Friday in a presser, we are 4 or 5 PLAYS not quarters away from an amazing season. Thats really the truth, take SC out of the equation as a Loss, LSU and AU did not dominate UA. They each escaped with a narrow win that a TD/Field Goal to UA's favor would change an L to a W and we would likely be looking at AL in Arizona against the Ducks. Do believe that UA would beat SC in a rematch.

As much as it pains me I still think AU hitting on all cylinders still beats Bama. It will be a war in Tuscy next year.

You could easily say "what if Auburn played a complete game against alabama?" Auburn would have won by 40 if they played the same way in the first half. Teams make adjustments during games that change the way they play throughout the course of the game. That's why you rarely see a team dominate the entire game.

Saban said they were 5 plays from undefeated.

so?

LSU was too. two wrong routes by the same DB = two of Ark's Tds

a block in the back, vs Auburn, was not called on the first TD by Cam.

Bama was also a couple plays away from being 8-4.

Our team was young and eventually folded under the pressure of being number one and other teams having open dates in front of their games.

Championship teams have to have some injury luck and we were nicked up all year. Should have overcome it but didn't.

yeah most good teams can make that claim. Arkansas was a couple ints and a few crooked refs away from being undefeated...Auburn was a few plays away from having 3 losses. o well they got those plays/calls and the rest is history.
