2.2 million per year is current offer, permission granted by AU athletic department to talk, no link, stayed tuned

Yep, he'll take it, only makes 500k at AU

That's gotta be the fastest climb from high school to College HC!

Why would Vandy offer anyone that much money to coach? They will never be able to compete in the SEC in football. Basketball and Baseball yes but never in Football.

WOW. 2.2 million and the chance to get out of Auburn before his name gets too dirty might be tempting.
I think AU would be willing to pay close to 1.5 mill to stay as OC. He needs to get out of AU this season though, losing his entire o-line and star QB.
I would bet Colorado or Minnesota would want him.

Yeah fricking right, that is more money than Spurrier, Chizik, Dooley or Mullen. If you can provide a link I will apologize and kindly get the frick out.

Vandy has already said they will pay 2 million for the right coach.
Gus, however, will not go there. Book it.

Gus with the slide rule boys, the shite they'll come up with in the library after practice is frightening. Muster 6 wins a season and he's a god. He's all in.

So it must be true. lol.
Not saying there's no possibility, but there is absolutely no credibility to your attempt at rumor mongering.

Vandy does need an offensive-minded (I won't use the word gimmick) coach to level the playing field.
Leach would be a solid pickup for the Dores as well.

Vandy wouldnt be able to get a good enough QB to run Leach;s offense. They should hire Navy's coach.

Jay Cutler.

Why would he go to Vandy over Colorado? Colorado has a shot at a national title.

Colorado decided not to pursue him in the end.
