Just asking, haven't heard anything, but do you think Mr. Nutt's seat is getting hot????? I think the people at Old Miss expected better.
Could you imagine what would have happened at LSU if Miles would be 4-6 right now??? LSU is 9-1 and some people are still calling for Miles's Head!!!

Nutt is going to have to pull out one of his best sermons ever after tommorrow to keep the wolves at bay for another year.

I don't know toejoe. I have a friend that is a big booster for Ole Miss. I know he says they are not happy. They really expected far better than they got the past two seasons. I think Houston is safe this year. But, he is gonna have to show them something next year and get signature win or two. Masoli has been a tremendous disappointment for the OM faithful.

I keep seeing people say this. Why has Masoli been a disappointment? Because he threw some picks against Tennessee? He's had a pretty good year. It's not like he was going to have the same numbers as he would at Oregon. The offense is not the problem.

He's really only been bad this year early on in 11 o'clock games.
I think that's because it's like 9am on his biological clock.

Ole Miss doesn't have the $$ to get rid of Nutt. He's safe for at least 1 more year if not 2.

Would it really cost that much to fire Nutt and go hire some other school's recruiting coordinator?
Nutt has done things that haven't been done there in Fifty Years! Fiddy! All you Ole Miss faithful should be on your knees kissing his SEC-W championship ring if he allows for such a moment to take place out of his daylight to exhaustion work schedule.

Considering he made a lot of people unhappy just bringing Mosali in I'm sure his seat is very warm but I think he'll be around another year.

If Old Myth fans truly expected better from HDN then they most certainly deserve what they are about to get!
Arkansas fans warned them about the Right Reverend, but were called sore losers and were accused of all our warnings being nothing more than sour grapes.
Now, fast forward 3 seasons and the Arkansas football program is on the road to recovery from the clusterfrick that Nutt left us in and now that the majority of Ed Orgeron's players eligibility has been used up and Nutt is beginning to have to play HIS recruits the chickens have come home to roost Bobby Bucher (The Waterboy reference)!
I hope that OM is stuck with Nutt for a decade like we were, or better yet force him on Auburn as part of their punishment for the sCam Newton debacle. Talk about giving the Tigers a swift kick to the Nutt's, that'd do the trick!

Yes, since UM's athletic budget is the 2nd smallest in the SEC. They can't afford to buy him out ($2.5 M x 2 years?) and even pay him the least in the SEC, which is MSU's Dan Mullen at $1.2 million.

Dan won't be making 1.2 after this year.

I doubt it. Yes, Houston Nutt is the very definition of mediocrity, but so is Ole Miss football. Who could they possibly get that was any better? If they hit the jackpot on an up and coming assistant, would he really stick around Oxford for more than a few years if he is successful? Doubtful. They are who they are, and that is a program with a ceiling of about 9 wins.

I agree. Ole Miss won't find any better. Like you said, if they do then he'll be gone after a successful season or two. Ole Miss is in no position to be demanding a coach change after what they had before he got there.
