If AU has indeed been advised to sit Cam and they don't, Chiz just stepped into the Dale Brown realm. It didn't work out to well for Daddy Dale.

Maybe AU just tired of the constant media BS. Does the media really think AU will tell them anything?

or maybe AU has been in contact with the NCAA and nothing has suggested that AU or Cam have done anything wrong.

there's still nothing to suggest that Cam knew what his dad was doing (convo's with Rogers). In fact, Rogers said yesterday he barely talked to cam at all.

Cam doesn't have to know a fricking thing!

NCAA rules state that if a family member, posse member, anyone solicits money from a university for a player he is inelligible.

The sad part for Cam is no matter what he knew if his dad did it then Cam is ineligible. Soliciting for money is against the rules whether you get it or not even if its a parent of the player

If Rodgers acted without the knowledge of Cam Newton or any of his family, then Newton is fine. But if Newton's father was involved, he's on the hook.

I'm glad there are so many NCAA rules experts on this board...

Cam needs to have 'knowledge' of the scheme for there to be a compromise of eligibility... unless someone can produce the rules and repute my comment about.

Pretty much every single news outlet has already posted this information.

Just got to CBS sportsline. They have a new Dodd article that explains it all.

Any family member asking for money can cause the player to be ruled ineligible.

There is a small gray area per the Dodd article but as he states, it does not look good.

GIVE IT UP! They can not be reasoned with - the stubborness to accept the truth is at epic proportions right now. Cam's innocence to the Rev pimping him is their last hope.

Oh, that and the hope that their program is clean in all this.
