as much as I dislike Ole Miss and Kentucky, it's way too early in the recruiting season to start calling names.

We were at like 49 one week before signing week. Look how that turned out. We didn't finish that bad. It doesn't matter at this point.

You know who SMU's coach is now right? Plus it's way too early to tell where teams will end up. Nutt not being able to sign 40 kids will hurt his rankings though.

June Jones will be interesting to watch. There's some serious big bucks supporters at SMU, which, of course, is why they got in trouble to begin with.

At the rate talent is coming off the board at this point, I think it might matter.

nah, they're just gonna go in and buy some more Hargrave players at the end of recruiting season like they did last year.

Ole Miss can't sign, but about 18 kids this year.....

Don't you think they might ought to wait until the first HS game of the fall to be played until they worry about recruiting rankings in July ?

Why? They signed 37 last year and didn't have room. He knew 8-9 wouldn't qualify academically, so he just signed them to improve his class. He also did it to get in good with MS community colleges, which are among the best in the nation at producing top talent. This was a very good move IMO. Makes his signing class look good and allows him to have quick relationship builders for the community colleges.
Everyone in the SEC is limited to 28 this year.

We'll still sign 25-28, but only 18 (maybe more, maybe less) of them can be on football scholarships for 2011. I'm guessing 4 will be placed in JUCO and 4 will be greyshirted.
We signed 37 last year because:
If we can sign and place someone, it's not a bad thing. It only helps us when we re-recruit them 2 years later.
We have a great connection with Hargrave, so we can funnel players there for 1 year and they'll still have 4 years to play once they get to OM if we resign them.
We were able to capitalize on the coaching turnover from last year, so we had a lot of good players interested, and some that were willing to greyshirt.

Have any of you tards stopped to notice that many teams have unevaluated talent?
LSU for instance has 17 evaluated players being divided by 19.
Arkansas has 7 evaluated players being divided by 8.
Miss St. has 6 evaluated players being evaluated by 9.
Are you getting the idea? A 2nd grader could point out that the numbers are currently wildly inaccurate and will remain so for weeks , if not months. The star value means nothing if you are getting O for multiple commits.
The current Rivals rankings, while accurate in commits, is useless at this point for comparisons. It's the same way every year yet the rantards come out in full force pointing out that Georgia Technical College is currently #10 in the nation, blah, blah, blah...........

Hey dumbass. If you, I dunno, read a little you would know that Rich Brooks is implying a new recruiting strategy this year, and doesn't have the high rating thus far, intentionally.
The recruits will start improving. For example, Four Star Safety Isaiah Lewis is now down to Kentucky and Michigan State and is believed to be a strong Kentucky lean.

Post or read much Proejo?
That was one of the top rantard posts of the year, I'll save it for later. As one person has already pointed out, it is early in the process.
Additionally, if you are a recruiting follower, then perhaps you read a little about Coach Brooks stating that he wants to change the culture in recruiting even more this season by going after the higher ranked kids before taking the 2-3 stars automatically like in the past.
He has improved EVERY year, and I like his aggressive stance on continuous imporvement in this area particularly.
MAYBE YOU SHOULD STICK TO EATING YOUR BOOGERS AND SPYING ON YOUR MOM IN THE BATHROOM.
RECRUITING ISN'T YOUR THING JR.

I don't read this board very often, but that was the dumbest post I've seen on here so far. Congrats, Proejo.

Stick around. You'll soon find your jaw on the floor. TD is infamous for retardation.
