re: Tobias Singleton to Ole Miss
How much of his 1,169 yards net rushing came from the RB slot? How much of his 520 yards receiving came as a RB?
What, exactly, is your point? The claim was that Nutt wastes talent. It's quite obvious that wasn't true in Dexter McCluster's case. If you want to dog on Nutt, ask wh...
Dexter was a RB, Wallace is a much more impactful pro than he was in college, and Shay Hodge was ok but didnt really change games. Those two WR didnt scare anyone at Ole Miss.
1. Dexter was one of the leading receivers. 2. Wallace only emerged as a threat after Nutt came. 3. Hod...
So true. Will be a waste of talent now.
Ummmmm....like Peyton Hillis, Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, Shawn Andrews, Matt Jones, Ahmad Carroll, Ken Hamlin, Tony Ugoh, Dexter McCluster, Peria Jerry, John Jerry, Kendrick Lewis and Mike Wallace....to name a few?...
If you can get powe in school. Ole miss should be able to get anybody in.
Perhaps, but let's not forget that Powe was eligible for social security by the time we finally got him in....

re: SEC chant

I like it. First of all, the chant comes secondary to our own respective unique school cheers during bowl games. So, it's not like we're putting the conference first. Secondly, as you said, it really seems to get under the skin of the opposing fans, which I find humorous. Thirdly, I like it because ...

Kudos to the Tigahs

As depressing as it is to sit at home during the bowls, I've managed to make myself root for our SEC brethren for the past week. Great job last night against the Aggies. I love how the SEC has been whipping up on the Big 12 for the past few years in their own backyard in the Cotton Bowl. Basebal...

I don't read this board all that often, so I may be missing something here. But why in the frick is a South Florida fan talking shite about Ole Miss?...
That's kind of what I was thinking, Tubedog. I'm currently working in Alabama and it's been amazing to witness so many people suddenly morph into college baseball fans over the past two weeks. ...

Actually, it wasn't up to the RevelVision folks. They wanted to broadcast the games but, apparently, UVA's stadium (which is pretty new) doesn't have the technical infrastructure needed. Kind of sad. And, while we're on the subject, let's give ESPN a big hand for choosing to broadcast the Coral G...
Banners for losses?
There is a banner for each bowl game the Rebels have played in hanging in the Indoor Facility. To be fair, most of them were wins. I'm kind of surprised they put the scores on there, but at least we're honest....
Because Michael Lewis happened to use Oher's story (as it was unfolding) when writing a book about the evolution of the left tackle. I believe Lewis and Sean Touhy attended high school together (Newman if I'm not mistaken). There are no doubt countless players that could be written about. Patric...

re: did uno dog pile last night?

Neither Ole Miss nor UNO "dogpiled"....
The celebration was probably a bit much, but it was a walkoff for the sweep against the #5 team. That said, it wasn't really a dogpile anyway....
Touche', Tigerguy. We were very fortunate to sweep a series in which every game was that close....
If you're anything like most AU fans I know, you don't appreciate cheap shots being taken at your university. And, yes, we are quite sensitive when it comes this sort of thing....
Mullen is building an empire.
You're able to come to this conclusion based on a guy's first season as a head coach - a season in which he won 5 games? Really? This board has a knack for hyperbole....
I'm starting to think the average age of posters on TD is much younger than I realized. ...
