Did NIL even exist when he played?

Defendants continuously financially benefit from Jameson Williams’ name, image and likeness rights, while also doing so without providing him with just compensation.

all three continue to use his image on social media posts and highlight packages on television without properly compensating him

How, specifically? How are all three still using his NIL from 2019-2021 to benefit today? Seems like they'd of moved on from him to more current players, does it not?

So he can sue ESPN too when report on him or run Lions highlights?

Can he sue On3 for that tweet?

This is the tip of the spear as they say.

When the NCAA or whatever governing body eventually enforces some sort of cap, tons of players are going to say they aren't getting paid fair value.

I ultimately think it ends up with the NFL stepping in and figuring out numbers that work for college so they aren't playing less than 2nd string DEs for 3rd round draft picks. We are very close to that point now and some QBs are already making far less in the NFL

If you drive past his house and he's standing outside, can he sue you for looking at him ?

Sadly the answer from AI is YES :

Yes, anyone can sue anyone for almost any reason, provided they are willing to sign a petition and pay the filing fees.

Wasn't there a settlement already about former players?

We’re getting closer to where one higher ed institution is gonna shut down athletics

This is not why we started athletics over 100 years ago

Didn't the NCAA settle with like $2.8B to players before the NIL was initiated. Have no clue who is eligible nor do I care. Seems like he ought to be directing his angst toward that. No?

I thought this specific issue was settled with the O'Bannon v NCAA decision.

The ghost of Don Hutson filing suit to get a piece of the pie?

God I hate the federal judge that destroyed college sports.

I am not going to curse all attorneys, but it is getting close.

I’d assume there’s a deal with the networks and NFLPA regarding that so doubtful

Very good question... don't think I've seen his name on any jerseys.

In a rational world, they would tell him to pound sand.

With today’s court system, depending on the state, I’d give it a 50/50 shot at being successful.

He should get whatever money he can.
He can't stay healthy anyway.
