Weren’t a lot of fans quite pleased with him when he brought in Heupel? What’s the deal?

Byrne is getting heat for DeBoer, but people forget Saban helped chose DeBoer.
Im biased towards him obviously, but the proof is there.
CFP for DeBoer
Basketball is at its all time peak
Baseball top 10
Softball top 10
WBB back to back tourneys

Heupel started hot and now things are getting interesting. Caldwell was a terrible hire for Lady Vols. Vitello left because he wanted the challenge of MLB but I dont think Danny tried at all to keep him. The Elander hire is not going well.
Danny White only cares about making money for the athletic department and couldn't care about winning. He wants to be innovative and make Tennessee a pro sports environment. Its so dumb. He prices out normal fans and has turned every sporting event into a light show. Im very down on him. He is like the Jerry Jones of the SEC without the titles

Josh Brooks at UGA is on a heater
- Football is football
- Hired Wes Johnson for baseball - national seed first 2 years and currently ranked top 5. Foley Field finally got the first phase of a badly needed expansion that has done wonders for the fan experience and elevation of the program.
- Hired Mike white for men’s basketball, made NCAA tournament back to back years for first time since… 01-02. Women’s basketball is finally back in the NCAA tourney for the first time in a while.
- Hired Simone Biles personal coach for Gymnastics, ranked #6 heading into nationals in year 2 (far and away most competitive we’ve been in the sport we used to own in a decade)
- Men’s and Women’s Track each have recently won indoor/outdoo national titles and just opened its new gorgeous outdoor facility
- Women’s Tennis is dominating the sport under Drake Bernstein in his 3rd year. Tennis complex also got a badly needed modernization both for the indoor and outdoor courts and grandstand, finally seeing the NCAA tournament return this year where it was birthed and held for decades before our previous AD let it languish to the point of seeing the tourney leave Athens.
- Volleyball and soccer are both way more competitive than they’ve ever been, soccer won the SEC Tourney a couple of years ago
- Men’s golf is seeing Chris Haack finally retire and just brought in Mason Howell, reigning US Amateur Champion. Still have the most former players on Tour. New exclusive course is opening up on the edge of Athens, rumored to be the future home of UGA golf; limited membership and founders/main investors are all the UGA tour players
Biggest needs moving forward:
- Getting Mens Tennis back to its historic level of excellence after longtime coach Manny Diaz retired last year
- Same for swimming and diving after Team USA coach Jack Bauerle retired last year
- Softball needs a revamp. They’re a typical competitive SEC program but should be way better than what they are

Hasn’t seen any of his men’s sports win a damn thing his entire career
Hopefully he doesn’t drunkenly embarrass himself at the SEC Coaches Meeting…again.

You’re giving the wrong person credit for the titles (and I’m not talking about the fortunate idiot that won the last one).

This is the correct answer for “Jerry Jones of the SEC”.

Laird Veatch...doing less with way less for Mizzou since 2024 !
I kid, I kid. He seems like a nice fellow. Anything at Missouri is a hard sell.

Jeremiah Donati has potential .... and had a helluva track record at TCU.
Time will tell. He's got to clean up Tanner's mess first.

Since Keith Carter took over as our AD in 2019 we have won a national title in baseball, hired Lane Kiffin and had our best football run in 60 years, hired Chris Beard who made our second ever Sweet 16 and hired Coach Yo for women’s basketball. And donations have been through the roof. He finally got all of the boosters on one track and that has never been done by any of our previous ADs.
He’s far and away the best AD we’ve ever had

Keith Carter robbed Ole Miss out of their first and only chance at a national championship all because of his fragile ego.
Then he made an emotional hire in Pete Golding.
That’s what we call salting the wound.

Cant believe you are back after how terrible LSU is this year in baseball.
Given CDC has won many Directors Cups which is for the entire Athletic Department I would say he has one of if not the best case for best AD in the SEC.
If you want to just talk big 3 mens sports thats a completely different discussion and Texas is probably 4 - 8
