The truth is y'all love him so much because he had LSU at least looking competent and respectable, a moderately tough out.....he was cheating, none of you cared, and you feel like he was cut off just before his prime and he was REALLY going to have things rolling, and now you think he's going to recapture that magic.
The truth is you saw him at his best, which was middling to mediocre, and that's fine for LSU, but he isn't going to take you to the promised land and I don't think any of us are really worried about the hire TBH.
It's an upgrade from McMahon, and we all love the tPEAR memes, so that's a plus.

Wade’s biggest upside was that he would cheat to get players. Now everyone has money to get players and more allocated to basketball than LSU. The SEC is better now than when he got fired the first time. The real question is when yall are below average in year 2 will the fans be calling for his head.

100%. Barnes only signed one five star player at Tennessee before NIL and that guy was a borderline dude. I wish he had started paying players in 2016 cause then we wouldve started winning sooner. Barnes had teo good teams before NIL at Tennessee and both those teams were just 2 and 3 stars that were lightning in a bottle

I think it's kinda funny that when BK was hired, all we heard about was that he wasn't a good fit. Well, now we get Kiffin and Wade. There isn't a much better fit out there for the either position at LSU and that still isn't good enough. I love this fricking board.

He is a hero to LSU fans because he told the school, the SEC, and the NCAA to frick off. It cost him his job but made him a legend to many LSU fans.
That is because many LSU fans have a victimhood mentality - everyone is out to get them. The REC, the SEC offices, the NCAA, the referees; they post about it constantly. They really believe everyone is out to get LSU. When Wade gave everyone the finger he cemented himself in the hearts of those LSU fans.

Uk is still always in the mix but not like the past. I say unfortunately because I like having an SEC blueblood in the major sports and pulling for that program (except head to head) as that makes our conference better.
