The only thing sadder would be to have experienced so many as a Kentucky fan, but know you might never, ever get to experience another one.

On an off note why does it seem like Final Fours are given more notoriety in basketball than winning the championship? No other sport puts so much emphasis on just making the semifinals

Wild graphic. I would never have expected Texas to be in the upper half of teams to have made the final four. Also crazy that Ohio State has so many final fours with so little to show for it. Mostly though, even though you know the tournament has been dominated by a small handful of teams, it’s striking to see like this. They just have not left much room for competition.

Maybe it reflects everyone understanding how hard winning out in the tournament is. 1 and done in college basketball is rough. The game itself isn’t as fluky or random as baseball can be. But it’s tough to play 5-6 straight games at a high level, especially against increasingly tougher competition. Hell, Florida this year was a great team on a roll and didn’t get close.

Kentucky is without a doubt the worst overall sports program in the SEC.
