Is it possible for a team UF or another to do this?

Utilize a big man at the basket with 3-4 seconds to go in a game needing only 2 points to win. I'm thinking UF's 7'9" guy to take an ally oop pass high enough for only him to catch it. In 1 continuous motion dunk it.
Not sure if there is a rule on what is a shot at the basket or a pass to a teammate. If practiced it couldn't be stopped I don't think. It would be a hell of alot better than some of the things I've seen. Short of a deliberate foul what could an opponent do?

One would think if that dude was automatic doing that then he would t ride the bench the entire game

Run it every play of the game in that case.
But to answer your question yes it would be within rules to throw alley-oop from out of bounds.

Why does the crowd go wild every time he scores one of his 4 shots all season long?

He is 7.9 with a 12" vertical, a 6.10 defender with a 30" vertical would shut that down.

Is this a serious question?

He is 7.9 with a 12" vertical

I have no shame in admitting the only reason I made a basketball team was because I was tall and could dunk.
I also have no shame admitting I rode the bench 95% of the time because basketball is a lot more than this.
What's wild to me is I play in a rec league and even the 6' guys here can dunk. Being 6'7" and unable to get off the ground makes no sense to me unless you're 300 lbs.

William "Refrigerator" Perry was 6'2" 335 lbs and had a 40" vertical leap.

If you could successfully do that, why wouldn’t you just run it every possession?

quote:We had a couple of white guys that were 6'0" to 6'1" that could dunk a volleyball. We also had a guy that was probably 5'6", a good player from the point but was going to dunk jumping off of one of the other players on their all 4s. He slipped and flipped backwards and broke both wrists. Imagine having to care for him for 4 weeks while he was wearing casts on both arms.

No, he didn't.
William "Refrigerator" Perry was renowned for his surprising athleticism, often reported to have a vertical leap of roughly 3 feet (or in some anecdotes, up to 40 inches). As a 335+ pound rookie, he could famously perform a standing jump onto a 3-foot high table, demonstrating remarkable explosiveness for his size.
Key details about Perry's athletic abilities:
Standing Leap: He could jump onto a 3-foot high table from a standing position.
Vertical Height: Some sources suggest a 40-inch vertical leap.
Athleticism: Despite his massive size, he was noted for having high-end agility, with reports of a 5.05-second 40-yard dash.

Well that answers that if true.its just a thought.
I still don't think a 6'10" guy can touch the top of a backboard but maybe some. I know the 7'9" guy touches the rim and probably the top of a backboard.
