It's Burrow's fault his OL is consistently rated as one of the worst in the NFL?
O-Line or not, Burrow is not the superstar everyone predicted him to be.
Compare him to Tom Brady or Peyton Manning at this point in his career, Or even Eli Manning.
re: Is this graphic accurate, it seems to suggest that White Americans are the least racist

Yes, well some of God's children are lower IQ, more racist, feral assholes than others.

San Francisco is the fig capital of the country, so Vitello being there makes sense.
Vitello get more top shelf trim in a bad month than you will get in a good lifetime.

Vandy
With all due respect to the Commodes.
Had the SEC been in existence in the early days, Vandy would have several. They were a powerhouse back then.
General (then Captain) Robert R. Neyland was hired at Tennessee with one directive. "Beat Vanderbilt!"

Neither one of them have done anything. They have a total of one Super Bowl loss between them.
Burrow got sacked 7 times in that one loss.

Asians are "white adjacent". Can't discount them, either.

When Phil Fulmer was the “secret witness “ trying to get Alabama busted the ncaa investigator asked Kenny Smith if Alabama had offered him incentives. He said “no but Tennessee did”.
Really? I suppose that is why Alabama was the first school in history so dirty, they had a booster sentenced to Federal prison. Then murdered him before he could talk, and get his sentence mitigated.
quote:
Jimbo warned everyone about what Saban actually was
They have always cheated
You are correct.
Everyone cheated, but Saban and Bama took it to a level never before seen.
The biggest complaint about NIL? "They go after the biggest paycheck, nothing more." You think that didn't happen before NIL?
Saban didn't get all those #1 classes just because they wanted to play for Saban. He got them because nobody else was touching the kind of money Bama was paying. People talk about the cars. That was minor compared to the cash.
Heckuva first post, but here goes.
I had applied for a fairly high paid position at a company. No interest. Got the standard no soap letter with the usual "wish you the best in finding a place for your special skills and unique talents."
Fast forward three months. I get a call fawning over my resume and they can't wait to, and I quote, "welcome me to the team".
First day they put me with another guy simply to learn their company's software and procedures. This guy is a flunky, but has 20 years there and knows the systems and procedures. His first words to me, "I don't know why they put you with me. I'm not a trainer." I'm thinking, "I know about this than you ever will." I simply say, I just need to see the procedural steps used here.
Now, my job requires certain certifications and licences. They never asked for them. On day two I volunteer them. I am told "we'll get to it soon." Now I am suspicious. Never went anywhere that wasn't priority one before you even walk through the door.
Fast forward two weeks of doing menial crap not related to my job, and basically wasting time. Offered my credentials on an almost daily basis. Same response, "we'll get to that. I tell the wife, "something isn't right here."
Friday of my second week the man I report to directly comes and says, we need to go into HR. He is an older black guy been with the company 30 years and is just trying to hang on another year to retirement age, I've been around a minute. I know what "we need to go to HR" means. "I asked, so why am I getting fired?" He said, "I don't know."
I am told by the #2 man in the company, (a fat liberal SOB married to an equally fat liberal Karen), "It is time to part ways."
I asked why, and I am told, "I'm not at liberty to discuss that." I get smart and tell him, "you have my permission to tell me." He refuses. Termination notice says "job performance". Wait? I haven't even been allowed to do my job.
My direct boss is given the task of escorting me out. He is genuinely embarressed, He apologizes several times. I realize they have blindsided him too. He really was kept in the dark. Neither of us know what is going on. He tells me, and I believe him to this day. "Something has not been right about this whole scenario. I don't know what Bryan (#2 guy) and Jeff (#1 guy) are doing."
Fast forward almost a year. I am at an industry related seminar working for another company. The type we have all been to. Waste of time and money, but the CEO's buddy is somehow involved.
We are in a large conference room, maybe 35-40 people.. The subject of shady and unethical practices you might run into comes up.
I relate the story above. A young guy who I thought looked familiar suddenly says in a very loud voice, "SO, YOU'RE THE ONE! I KNEW I RECOGNIZED YOU FROM SOMEWHERE!"
WTF? I am the one?
Turns out he was at the previous company when I was there. He was a young up and coming guy stuck in a cubicle at the time, and we didn't have any real interaction. I remembered him after my memory was jogged. He is now at a better position with another company.
He lays out the whole story. It all came out about a month after I was fired. The previous guy who had my job was very good, but also a major arse kisser to # 1 and #2 guys. He quits claiming burnout.
Apparently #2 guy had actively been begging this guy to return. When it looked like he wouldn't, they hired me as an insurance policy. They hired me as a place holder, just in case. About a week after I was hired, he agrees to return. I am fired on Friday before he is to return the following Monday.
The story came out because the guy they rehired was bragging about how they begged him to return, and fired the new guy as soon as he said yes.
Good part is, #2 guy got fired not long after me. Trying to pull some shady crap to get #1's job. He was found out and #1 canned him.
