Why would there be? Texans don’t spend money on minor sports like basketball. Nobody was in the stands for any of the Texas schools.

Both main Texas systems are lackluster basketball supporters.

Houston is the flagship basketball school for the state.

We don’t care about basketball. I didn’t even watch the Texas game yesterday. Any game as a matter of fact
I’m happy for the fans who do like basketball but I’m not going lie and say I give a shite. I’m far more concerned that our baseball team can’t seem to hold onto a lead in the late innings.

I have been told that the Texas Tech fans are pretty good about supporting their team, but I wouldn’t know one way or the other.

Also, what does big money have to do with fans caring about a sport?

They spend money on national championships in football.

Oh...wait...never mind. My bad.

There is no sportsbook showing all the games "in the stands".

Overpriced bud light, probably.

since you clearly struggle with reading comprehension I'll try to help you out. Re-read what I posted carefully. You'll notice a comment about being happy for the fans who do love basketball.
You seem to be overly sensitive. Were you an only child? Let me guess, you get upset when opposing fans do the horns down, don't you? Be honest.

God I hope you didn't actually graduate from Texas.

Some do, most don't. If you think otherwise then you don't know many Texas grads.
You sure seem sensitive.

Dude, you don't speak for Texas fans. There's a reason we win the Director's Cup. I know you can't wait till football season so you can shite on Sark every chance you get. But regardless, you don't know what you're talking about.

Just a suggestion, but you're going to do what you're going to do, edit the "We" to "I". If you can do that, Bob's your uncle.

You said “We don’t care…”, and then qualified it to say “I don’t” care…”

Those are two very different statements.

Most Texas fans support any team that represents the University. Period.

Don’t pretend to represent the many just because you don’t.

Not hard to understand, Mr. Comprehension:

quote:

We don’t care about basketball.

[Just noticed a couple of other fans chimed in about basketball, so removed another snarky comment.]

Well before the thread evolved into a pissing match between longhorns fans it was going well.

Houston is a basketball school. Their fans are hyped for basketball, and why wouldn’t they be? They are THE Texas basketball school for sure.

A&M is a football school (lol)

UT is a football and baseball school.

The guy who said tech fans are more into basketball than UT or A&M was right.

Baylor (lol) is bigger on basketball than those schools as well, and since TCU got Jamie Dixon, there is a case to be made for them too.

I would say UT is marginally more of a basketball school (in terms of fan support) than A&M although this may have changed when Beard was fired.

And I also noticed during the tourney that there weren’t many fans in any of the stand for the Texas games. The big money Texas people (that didn’t go to tech or Baylor or Houston) are into football, and to a lesser extent baseball.

The ones super into college basketball are more likely to have gone to a basketball school like Duke or UNC or Kentucky

My great uncle (RIP) and aunt went to Duke so my family was always Duke fans. However, since the rise of Texas basketball I have had a lot of fun following all the different teams. Even our completely shite (academics and sports) schools are getting better.
