Does anyone care about Women's Basketball?

I went to ESPN a little while ago to check scores, and saw that Vanderbilt was winning 81-49. I was shocked to see such domination. I didn't even think they were supposed to play today, and then I realized it was a women's basketball score. Why does ESPN put this on the front page when the Men's tournament is taking place at the same time? Does anyone actually follow this sport?

ESPN has access to the women’s tourney.
They don’t for the men.

You only care if your school is UConn ucla or South Carolina …maybe Texas and an outside shot lsu . The rest have no realistic shot of winning it all.

It has a bigger following than a lot of sports, like aluminum bat baseball.
There are blowouts going in the men's tourney too

That's hard to argue with. It's been that way for a long time.
Not long ago it was UConn, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Stanford and Baylor.
Back in the 70s and 80s it was Old Dominion, La Tech, Tennessee, and So Cal.
To answer the OP's initial question .... yes, TV ratings and attendance numbers indicate that women's basketball has a large following. Social media engagement also supports that insomuch as people do tune in for high profile games.
Women's D1 college basketball has a much better following than the WNBA.

Tenn and UCONN fans maybe..but most women's sports are not watched..I watch gymnastics and volleyball in the background(I have 2 TVs in my den, mainly for CFB and CBB season)..

I’m an LSU fan and women’s basketball means absolute zero to me. LSU loses $8 million a year on that boring arse product.

I care about Maryland, only because I liked watching Saylor play at Arkansas. And Arizona State just because their coach is hot.

I want the Bama women's basketball team to do well, but not bad enough to watch any games.

It’s not really fun to watch until elite eight or final four

Red state over blue state. Otherwise, could care less about the horns
