I thought the BS lack of calling walking was only NBA - but I guess not

So let me guess, Duke, UNC and Big 10 schools will get away with walking, but no one else will...

Some of y'all are perpetual victims of the zebra. Could be on the basketball court, could be the football field. Either way, zebras are out to get ya.

I watched it. It was traveling a few different times. Refs suck. They have ALWAYS sucked.

That's the beauty of the SEC. Our refs are too incompetent to fix anything.

When you don’t even know the rules every call is the correct call. That is the genius of SEC officiating.

I think for the most part it evens out over the course of a game.

nobody knows the rules. I've seen videos of dudes taking damn near 8 or 9 fricking steps and people try to say "oh no you just don't get it bruh, that's just a eurostep that leads into a gather step then a reverse pivot". Like what? You don't get to just keep adding steps with nifty names attached to them and just keep on going.

You get 2 steps. Anything else is a walk.

college hoops is about 8 trampolines away from Slamball at this point -

the 'euro' step was the gateway drug - now the players get two* steps before they shoot - OR PASS - when they're in full 'wtf do I do now' mode -

Travelling is pretty common these days. I don't understand why it isn't enforced.

Next, do carrying violations.

I know, I know, Acuff does it too. All guards do. A lot.

The rules of basketball dictated that you could not change your pivot foot. Somehow that rule has gone away.

It's been getting worse since the mid-80s. Now it's so common place that it's surprising when refs actually call walks or carries. You'd have one called every possession today, if they called them like they did in the 80s.

Players carry all the time, too, but I can't even remember the last time I saw one called. It's like a blue law that's no longer enforced.

That is why you have 5 minute video reviews. Somebody has to look the rule up.

After a season of SEC play, tourney reffing will seem incredibly competent.

There’s no rhyme or reason to sec ref incompetence. Sometimes it helps your team, sometimes it hurts your team. They just call or don’t call whatever the hell they want.
