The same way Spurrier never forgot all the losses to Georgia when he was in college, Kirby never forgot all the losses to Florida when he was in college. 8-2 as a coach vs. Florida, including 5 in a row and 8-out-of-9. Order restored.

Kirby's two losses to Florida were his first season and 2020, the year before Mullen was fired.
The rivalry is very streaky. Georgia is currently dominating. It will switch back to Florida at some point.

It’s been pretty easy to beat up on Florida recently. They have become a joke of a football program.

The thought of being on my fifth football coach in 11 years and beating Georgia once since a lot of the current players on the squad were in elementary school is enough to make me practically shite my pants.

I get it man. When your football program has been stuck in neutral for the last 15 years, you convince yourself that football isn't the be-all and end-all and embrace other sports, and the dreaded "everything school" phrase starts getting tossed around, which is code for "Yeah, we suck at football now."

Trust me, this guy is keeping receipts. The natural evolution in the series. Florida will own the series in the 2040s. I am already dreading it!

I'm still triggered by UF beating us 49-10 in 2008 and calling timeouts in the 4th quarter, truly the despicable behavior that rivalries are made of
