Bama fans would sell their sisters for a national championship in pudding cup stacking. #marriagetrouble

There is nothing college about college athletics anymore. Can’t wait for LeBron to play for Ohio State. Bo to be ruled retroactively eligible to come back and play baseball at Auburn.

This whole last couple of years have completely ruined college ball.

Everyone freaking out about Bediako, while there are plenty of schools with players that were playing pro ball in Europe, which is far tougher competition than the G league. Both are absolutely ridiculous and need to be stopped.

everyone should. the dude pushed us into a 9 game conference schedule. It didn't get us more money and they didn't expand the playoffs either. So basically we're all locked into with tougher schedules with no actual benefit.

It's bizarro world now.

Really would like to know exactly what the NCAA leadership does on a daily basis. Had to look up the current President, which says something right there, but he apparently made over $3 million in 2023.

For what?

Emmert was mush.

What pro leagues are these? There are Pro leagues in every country. Be specific. Even J Cole played in an African pro league.

Truth is , the inmates now run the insane asylum , with tons
of money from bottomless booster & advertiser pockets , always flashing
greener pastures.
The NCAA is a toothless pygmy that controls almost nothing now
because the word cheating is extinct in this wild , wild west.
Who's not in pursuit of winning and if there are no rules , regulations and
legal contracts , with oversight , why is there shame in a new
world of anything goes ?

Agreed. Sux. Could have had another mid major team home game for the season ticket holders. Development for young guys etc.

The media were the ones pushing to pay players. I don't like that they are pros now but I accept that they getting paid (legally). What I don't like is the yearly free agency, something has to be done.

Well of course they are.. media is North and Midwest dominant and Sankey just blocked them from their 24-game playoff.

They did the same tactic when Sankey expanded (yet they did even worse). Did the same tactic to force the "acceptance" of NIL and transfer portal to clean out SEC loaded rosters, etc.

The people here who love to hate Alabama fell for it because they painted it all as "anti-Saban/Bama" but it was really always about taking power back from the SEC and putting the south in it's place.

I think we've known for some time that Sankey is "all sizzle and no steak".

Be it media rights, scheduling, messaging, NIL, realignment or anything else of substance in college athletics, Sankey is a limp dick. Plus, he has the personality of stopped up toilet.

Why the Presidents of conferences universities tolerate his piss poor leadership is astounding. Petitti makes him look like a dolt.

The SEC seems to be getting worse every year under Sankey.

Or just make a uniform and simple rule like kids have 4 seasons between 18-24 yo and forget all the inconsistent micro managing of convoluted bylaws on case by case basis.

There is no amateur system through school for Europeans so they join club and pro teams at a young age for development.

Everyone has been aware that you can bing in “pro” European guys, so everyone has been on equal footing. Bama is doing something unprecedented. 15 games in the season they went out and added a 7 footer NBA two way player to their roster who waived his eligibility three years ago by leaving school and going undrafted. Bama has a clear cut competitive advantage of being a “test case” for the NCAA and using local judges to do their bidding despite the NCAA telling them
no. Their fan base is pretending that they are overcoming some sort of extreme adversity here. It’s pretty pathetic.

The NCAA did all it could do for as long as it could to keep that genie in the bottle. The courts have rendered them powerless.

What is nexrt who knows but this is not sustainable. With all the flaws the had, they did all they could.

The only reason the pay the players crowd wont admit they fcked up is because they are just not able to. Dont see how anybody, other than players, think this is good.
