Your analysis is bullshite. The dude shouldn’t be playing college ball. He had way more impact than the points he scored. His rebounds, steals, presence on the court… all changed the game, Take all of that away & it’s a close game… cheats gonna find a way to cheat.

I agree, but at the same time plenty of us pointed out the fact that a lot of stuff going on in college athletics was bad for amateur athletics as a whole.
Those statements were usually met with "you're just jealous" or "you hate parity" and just called us chicken littles until, you know, the sky did, in fact, fall.
So you'll have to forgive us if we ignore the hypocrisy of folks and just go about our business now. It'll all collapse soon enough, one way or another.

I agree, things are out of whack, but pro athletes playing college ball.....I draw the line there... What next, guys that went straight to the NBA from HS can now come back to college with years of eligibility after their pro career ends?

Every college athlete is a pro athlete now. The difference between an amateur and a pro is whether or not you get paid.
And considering he's probably going to get paid more now than he was in the NBA Summer League, the line blurs even more.

Maybe so, but once a player crosses the threshold into ANY professional league, your college eligibility should be forever gone.

G League Summer League is different than NBA Contracts.
There was a clear line drawn back in December, from Charlie Baker, NCAA President.

This dude should NOT be playing college basketball. He signed pro contracts with NBA teams:
Professional Experience: Played three seasons in the G League, averaging 8.8 points and 7.1 rebounds for the Grand Rapids Gold.
Contract Status: Signed a two-way contract with the San Antonio Spurs in 2023 and later an Exhibit 10 deal with the Detroit Pistons.
Return to College: In Jan. 2026, he became the first player to return to NCAA eligibility after signing an NBA contract and playing in the G League, following a legal dispute with the NCAA
Once you sign ANY pro deal, you should have NO eligibility in college ball. End of story!

99% of Euro basketball leagues are less competitive than NCAA basketball

You are either a professional or a "college player" getting paid. While college players are getting paid like professionals, they are amateurs that should be that while playing under a university's banner. Once you go pro, you are out. Simple as that!

Nope, that’s not how it works anymore. These are all professional people now. We have quarterbacks playing in the national championship not even going to college anymore. Think about that. All the lines are almost gone, and unless it’s fixed in the future, it’s going to blur even more.
