I guess your too young to remember Bama, Auburn ,OU, Texas, SMU..and more.in the 80's and 90's.. Google Logan Young and Albert Means..that was just the tip of the iceberg

The last couple months have shown us a lot.
Consider how Lane’s former employer treated him when the were informed he was leaving. And consider how their fans treated him. And he handled both with so much class that it made you wonder if we were talking about the same guy.
Now consider how classy LSU was when they let Kelly go. No personal attacks or dirty laundry…just a buyout and a separation.
It can’t be more clear that Lane and LSU are a perfect fit.
So, desperation? Yes, some. But it’s more of a character flaw that Golding, Ole Miss, and their fans share that keep them together. They see it and and know that others are seeing it now. It hurts, I’m sure.
