Who is on your Mount Rushmore of head football coaches?

For Alabama, I would suggest:

1. Saban: 17 seasons, 6 national titles, 9 SEC titles, 87.4% winning percentage

2. Bryant: 25 seasons, 6 national championships, 13 SEC titles, 83.5% winning percentage

3. Wade: 8 seasons, 3 national championships, 4 Southern Conference titles, 77.2% winning percentage

4. Thomas: 15 seasons. 2 national titles, 5 SEC titles, 82.7% winning percentage

HM: Stallings: 7 seasons. 1 national championship, 1 SEC title, 81.4% winning percentage

Winning percentage seems overrated in this situation. Based on seasons and titles, you'd be looking at Wade as bama's #1.

1) Coach O
2) Coach Miles
3) Coach Kiffin
4) Coach Denardo
5) Coach Saban

Ranked in order of how important they were for the history of LSU football.

So you are saying that not only are Saban and Bryant not the top two college coaches of all time, they aren’t even in the top 2 at Bama.

Tennessee would be (in my opinion):

1. Robert Neyland - 173 wins (6 undefeated seasons), 4 national championships (1 consensus NC), 7 conference titles, plus designing the stadium. College Football Hall of Fame

2. Phillip Fulmer - 152 wins, 1 national championship, 2 SEC championships and 6 SEC East division titles. College Football Hall of Fame

3. Johnny Majors - 3 SEC Titles (plus Heisman runner-up as a player), 1x SEC Coach of the Year. College Football Hall of Fame

4. Bowden Wyatt - 1 SEC Championship, 1x SEC Coach of the Year, 1x National Coach of the Year. College Football Hall of Fame as Player and Coach.

Not at all. It your Mount Rushmore, and I was stating that Wade had a high percentage when it comes to an SEC Title or Natty.

Alabama could have 3 spots on the Mt Rushmore for ALL of college football.

Saban, Miles, Dietzel, McClendon or DiNardo, Rein

Neither DiNardo nor McClendon won a natty (as HC). Depends which you value more out of bringing back the magic & paving the way for Nick vs being pretty good for a long time.

Rein is there for fun & what could’ve been.

Sure Orgeron won a title, but he’s a moron.

bear and saban are givens.

It is PEAK bama blowhard-ness to think that in the history of the sport, across all athletic programs, there aren't even TWO other guys out there that would be better than whatever other guy bama would list.

With 7 National Titles between them that's pretty cut and dry I think.
