Except data and history doesn’t support that, at least for Texas. Texas actually was underrated based on preseason rankings and where they finished over a large time period (I think 10 or 20 years). Obviously skewed for teams like UGA and bama who can only go down from a preseason #1 but the data doesn’t support this claim that Texas is always overrated based on preseason polls vs where they finished ranked
