Would Cignetti have received the same level of support though?

I'm sure State would have given him enough cash to land all of his 2 and 3 stars.

MSU doesn’t have Mark Cuban. The closest thing they have is a regional manager at the local Walmart…

Even if they gave him literally nothing, State would be almost as good as Ole Miss. Holy shite. No wonder they suck and will never win anything.

Likely MSU didn’t offer anything serious for him to be enticed

I don't think he did. He was on their candidate list but not high because of his age.

A lot of teams passed on Cignetti. Indiana was arguably the worst P5 job when he took it.

I just cant believe how well they travelled. They fricking took over the Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl, and Natty game. Further proof that Miami is a fake football program. Your playing in your own stadium for the natty and are still outnumbered

Miami has a small bandwagon fan base, very trashy.

Big 10 fans treat these bowls as vacation.

He had Mark Cuban money funding his roster. He couldn’t have repeated this at State. Same thing that stopped Ole Miss. Lack of resources keeps them out. Unless State has some multibillion booster I’m unaware of.

Someone on a state message board mentioned his name as someone we “should” interview back in 2022. That where this came from

Well I guess they would be better than Alabama too. Ole Miss was better than Bama the last two years. Definitely this past year. You know where the ex coach of Ole Miss coaches at now right?
