When is the last national champion to gain less yards than its opponent?

LSU was losing by double digits in the 2019 championship game. Quit whining and take a backseat to the GOAT.

Turnovers and field position matter.

Great game though. Hoosiers had nuts of steel on those 4th downs. They earned it

Is this game about yards gained or points scored?

Last I checked there’s only one stat that matters

Its not relevant, mid 2nd half Miami had 120 yards, Ind. started playing the clock and using prevent defense, they had t ball 18 minutes longer than Miami. Miami couldn't stop their long drives enough times.
