How can you turn around what was never there?

That would be like saying the same thing about Elko if he got us there.

I don’t think that word means what you think it means.

An Indiana win tonight but a lot of pressure on a lot of Power 4 HCs. Would be proof that with the right coach, every single program is 2 years away from a legitimate shot at a national title.

If your a sitting Power 4 HC trying to explain why you deserve to get a year 4 or year 5, that argument is going to be a whole lot harder to make.

Auburn 2010-2013 was the following:

2010: National Champs
2011: 7-6
2012: 3-9
2013: National Runner-Ups

Hard to say that wasn’t the best turnaround…. How many other programs went 3-9 and then played for a title the next season?

Not even close to the same thing. You won the national title 3 years before another appearance. Indiana still considered Lee Corso a legend for winning a bowl game in the 70s

Doesnt really mean the same now that you can hire players for a year or two.

Yes it does. He did it for two straight years. Arizona State also had a great turnaround last year but didn’t maintain it this year

They do have 47 players between the ages of 22 to 25. Is this the oldest team ever in the championship game?

No it really isn't. You can change the players in your team 60%+ per year. Couldn't do that before the portal. It was more difficult innthe oast.

Yeah that’s why every team is turning it around like Indiana is right? No problem for Boston College to go 16-0 next year?

The absolute worst football program in college history, is playing for a national championship. That has to be the biggest turnaround. They didn't go out and buy a bunch of mercenaries like the blue bloods. Just evaluate talented, and filled holes. This is a team.

Correct. Only comparable ones are Alvarez at Wisconsin and Snyder at Kansas State who were both awful programs before those coaches took over.

But Wisconsin never got to national title winning level and it took Snyder several years to get it going at K-State

Thats not what I said at all. Again, what i said was it is easier these days to turn around and team when you can reshuffle every year.

The pressure is already on if you ask me. Cignetti already proved the" I just need time" coaches need to kick rocks.

Boys, Indiana has had like 4 winning seasons since turn of century. To now be playing for a national championship is pretty amazing. Take ya’lls butt hurt SEC glasses off. For anyone who thinks that isn’t amazing is man idiot!

What he's done is amazing but TBF a ton of players from JMU followed him to IU.

KSU is the best turnaround ever Bil Snyder took KSU teams that won 2 games and turned them into a powerhouse …. In 2000 that KSU team OU played was the second best team in the country imo
