re: NCAA messed up

Then stop watching. I for one love more football. Here in a couple weeks I’ll be bored as hell on Saturdays. Just love watching the game!
re: LSU has to be in the discussion for this 12 team playoff every single year

I have defended BK. I thought it would take time to rebuild team once he got here. Took program a bit to learn how to play this NIL game. Best I can tell that has been figured out. In my opinion if he doesn’t make it to at least the semis next season that seat should get very hot. Money is being thrown at players, you have a top QB returning, one of the highest paid staffs in college and anything else you need. It’s time to play big boys ball again. I want LSU to succeed so I also want BK to, but if he can’t get us up there next year then it’s time for change!

So he can run for his life here instead of there?

I think we win because I doubt they make change at QB being down that much. However I also think if a frog had wings he wouldn’t bump his arse when he jumps!

I would say he probably has to get better at blocking schemes. If he can’t help pass block or run routes then he could be a detriment to O. You dang sure don’t want to just run every time he’s in. Wouldn’t take long for others to figure that out. He will be guy by end of year, probably a lot sooner!

If some of y’all would look at a map and where Las Vegas is in relation to Louisiana and California, you may notice that it was a little bit further back to Louisiana than USC had to make.
re: I went to Calvary Academy in Shreveport last night. Mainly to watch James Simon, RB

LSU recruited him but got commitment from Harlem Berry (#1 RB in La). He then committed to Texas and we got another RB commitment from kid out of Alexandria that is pretty dang good also. Can’t get them all. After watching the 2 RB at Texas today he may be in portal after next season if they stick around. Those guys are pretty good to!
re: Best hope for tomorrow's pitching

I know he hasn’t pitched all year, but he was pretty good in HS and did come to LSU as a dual player. What about Jake Brown? Could he maybe go 1-2 innings if needed?
re: Arms that haven’t pitched yet

He was a pretty good pitcher in HS and was supposed to be a two way guy at LSU. Saw him last year in HS playoff and he does have some pretty good stuff.
re: Congrats to LSU commit John Pearson and the West Monroe Rebels!

I’ve listened to all the stuff between these 2 teams for the last year. I fill I have a unique perspective on it. We live 30 minutes from West Monroe, while our son, who coached in north central Louisiana for 4 years has been an assistant coach at Barbe the last 2 years. The coaches are similar in that they both love the game and love winning. I can tell you for a fact that Barbe doesn’t recruit, which I always thought they did. Now if someone wants to move into their district and can play they will gladly take them and it does happen. As for as age of players at WM, they have been doing that for years with their FB team. Nothing wrong with it. All within the rules. Don’t like it, change the rule. I just enjoy watching 2 really good teams, well coached compete against each other.
re: Send Guidry into the offseason focused on middle infield
Posted by Buckeye Dad on 5/1/24 at 8:00 pm
While I like Guidry, he can’t hit a FB harder than 90mph and can’t hit sec level breaking balls. He couldn’t hit a decent on in high school. Now, if he is going to get mid 80’s FB put him in. He will crush them.
re: Guidry needs to move immediately to Shortstop

While I like Guidry, you do realize his senior year of high school he was moved to second and lost position at SS.
re: Angel Reese pulled Cardoso’s hair not long before fight

I Don know what most people saw all through the tournament, but it sure looked like the games were allowed to be very physical. All of the ones I watched appeared that way. Something was bound to happen.
re: Gavin Guidry - Pitcher

So far in his career he has been trying to be a dual player. I believe and hope he knows now that he’s future is on the mound. If he puts his time and effort into improving that skill set he will make it to the next level.

You do realize we were 50% on flips (since there was only 2 possible). Everyone else we wanted signed over a month ago!

That is one dirty arse football team.

All the other teams doing everything they can to ensure DA stays HC for Saints!

Yea, that being called a wild pitch and not a pasted ball was BS. Should not have been an ER.

I live in the town and my son coached this kid as a freshman. He is a normal teenager. Not an angel but definitely not a troublemaker or behavioral issues. He does need to pay more attention to his studies, but overall a pretty good kid. As a freshman he was the most athletically gifted kid on the team.

Hell no! Get a young guy behind Dalton for a year, get salary cap straight, get rid of Allen and reboot!
