The athletes are why this game exists. The game does not exist for the fans. It exists to provide opportunities for student athletes.
So “whats good for fans” no one gives a shite about.
It always will be about the student. Always.
So deal with it. Because the students are way better off. And what fans think don’t mean a damn thing.

We view it because there are athletes there. When was the last time you saw a game without players being there? I’ve seen games without fans being present.

You realize athletic scholarships didn’t start until the mid 1950s right? You want to know why? Because fans watched these guys play and they became a financial asset to universities. Had fabs not cared, there would be no money to be made.

I think it’s you who needs to think who the fans would watch if the athletes all decided to sit out a game and just protest when the game started.

A large portion of college AD budget is paid for by donations from fans.
