That will make 3 titles in a row for the Big 10.
I think it's time to fire Sankey.

We fucjed ourselves by adding to many good programs.
The Big Ten has it right..4 elite teams and trash below that. The SEC went for the SOS route....it is screwing us now beyond belief.

If you count *Michigan's title and their sign stealing cheating scandal. They were caught in an elaborate cheating scandal, yet the NCAA mysteriously didn't have them vacate wins or their NC like they have done to other schools for much less. Hmmm...

What position does Sankey coach? This OP is stupid as hell.

Most seasons yes, this year the SEC was unusually down...will recover...the SEC has to many good programs.

Look left, look right, look up and down. Sankey is failing the sec. Probably undue greed.

He sucks like your football program for starters.
It's his job to put the SEC in the best position possible and the last 3 years he hasn't. Is that too confusing for your dumb arse?

This is the attitude what got the SEC in this mess. There were 6 Big Ten Teams that could have won the SEC this year.
1) IU
2) OSU
3) Oregon
4) Iowa
5) Illinois
6) USC

Some underground reports were suggesting that Michigan paid north of 50 million dollars to not get that title stripped. Not every school is going to pony up that kind of money to be able to keep a championship. And I agree. They should have had that taken. frick Michigan

Our first mistake would be expecting the NCAA to evenly apply any sort of rule. Or to generally make sense.

Can you elaborate on why the SEC performed so poorly in post season bowl games. Was it just the fierce 8 game conference season? The gauntlet?

Indiana was 1-0 vs the SEC, blowing out the #3 SEC team by 35 (38-3) at a neutral site.
Ohio State was 1-0 vs the SEC, beating the #5 SEC team by 7 (14-7) at home.
Oregon did not play an SEC team, but they lost to Indiana by 34 points (56-22) a week after Bama lost to them by 35...so, that might make one equate Oregon to the #3 team in the SEC.
Iowa was 1-0 vs the SEC, beating the #7 SEC team by 7 points (34-27) at a neutral site.
Illinois was 1-0 vs the SEC, beating the #8 SEC team by 2 points (30-28) at a neutral site.
USC did not play an SEC team, and there is no evidence at all that they would be competitive against the top 5 SEC teams. USC lost to Illinois by the same margin as Tennessee...who finished in the middle of the SEC. So...USC would probably be somewhere in the middle of the SEC as well.

I agree with this.
The SEC has to expand. As well as contract a few teams.

What an idiotic sentiment. UM was clearly the best team in 23. Like IU is the best team this year, but SEC fans can't comprehend another conference being superior, so they make up stories about IU cheating to fit their narrative.
Face it now that everyone pays everyone, the field is level. These things ebb and flow. The SEC will another one in the near future sure, but the 2006 to 2022 level of dominance is over. Now it's all about who has the money.
