Try to get Austin Simmons back, or go after a portal guy like DJ Lagway?

File a lawsuit in Mississippi. Win an injunction. Let Trinidad play while the lawsuit drags on. Drop lawsuit after the season.

Pretty much this. Trinidad will be Ole Miss’ qb next year.

We are signing two portal QBs. Deuce Knight and a one year guy, maybe Lagway or Leavitt.

DJ has not signed with Baylor yet and is going to take more campus visits.

I believe we’re targeting Deuce Knight out of AU. Beyond that, it’ll be interesting to see how we handle Chambliss/looking for another QB in the portal

Trinidad doesn't have the argument that Diego had.

It doesn't really matter.
NCAA acts as a judge, jury, and executioner with absolutely no oversight or recourse. Courts have been hammering this point on a lot of the recent cases where they have ruled against the NCAA. The organization has total power and players have no viable alternatives.
Plus, Trinidad just signed a new NIL agreement with Ole Miss so the damage to Trinidad being ineligible is very real rather than it just being hypocritical.
Don't get me wrong, I hate that college football has come to this, but a court making Trinidad eligible for next season wouldnt be particularly surprising.

I think you could file a suit demanding the executive board of the NCAA perform a dance routine at your kids' birthday parties and they would end up losing.
Their track record in front of judges is arse as of late

That should have no impact. If it does teams will just start signing Sr’s to new NIL deals and using it as the basis for them to continue to come back. And he isn’t ineligible…he’s out of eligibility as every 22+ year old should be.

Thought Kiffin wanted Knight?

Given the current track record of the NCAA in court, I'm sure someone will try this soon, and probably win.
