I had to miss the game last night but had a chance to look at some of the stats this morning. I see Lacy had 11 carries last night when he averages 20/game. In those 11 carries he was averaging over 9 yards.

What happened? Did OM get behind and have to throw the ball? I thought he would be a big key for OM throughout the playoffs and it seems like he was on his way to a big game last night.

Strained a hammy on his 73 yard TD run.

Frank Wilson coaches him now. He saw that huge TD run and decided it was time to go to another RB.

Busted off a 75 yard TD run in the first half and strained his hamstring. Played through it in the 2nd half but wasn’t the same.

Damn. That’s a big injury early in the semis.

At first I thought he was trolling the defender chasing him by slowing down a bit at the 10 yard line. But that’s when he felt the hamstring strain.

Lacy getting hurt changed the game for Ole Miss, they could no longer run the ball

Sadly, we know this all too well.

They weren’t running it before that either.

And it all fell to Chambliss and receivers. One dimensional when Lacy went out. It was the difference.

Still, even though that kid is a Reb, he's fun to watch. Damn good running back. Logan Diggs is pretty decent too in his 8th year of ball. I always liked that guy at LSU even though for some reason he's not super-respected by the Rant. He's got pretty decent vision and somehow always gets positive yards.

It took Charlie a while to figure out what to do last night. Initial plan did not work.
