If Georgia retains Carson Beck, they are in the natty

What a disaster letting him go to Miami so they could start a white running back with a receding hairline at quarterback.

I think Carson Beck is going to be an awesome pro player as long as he doesn't go to the Browns or Jets.

Not a fit.
Not sure why he went to UGA from the start.

UGA doest have the LOS and RB talent Miami does so odds are they would be roughly where there are which is eliminated

Which Carson Beck are you talking about? Last night's Carson Beck, or the one who threw four interceptions in a loss to Louisville, then proceeded to throw his teammate under the bus?
Georgia didn't "let him go", but there weren't a lot of Georgia fans in tears when he did leave.

etting him go
he kept throwing interceptions, quit on his team, was a piss poor teammate, ignored our staff, lived on social media, then decided he was going to miami.
Not sure why teh media keeps drumming up some fake sob story about his time in athens. If he had stayed it's extremely possile, if not likely, that we lose at least one if not all 3 of Tenn/AU/OM in the regular season. We don't make the SECCG and probably miss the playoffs.
It's acceptable to recognize a situation works well for all parties, as in this case.

2024 Carson Beck wasn't the same as 2023 Carson Beck. I'm not sure what happened. He started making terrible decisions which resulted in an increase in interceptions. Then, you started hearing stories that he was a terrible teammate and lacked leadership skills.
Along comes Gunner Stockton. When he took that hit against Texas, Georgia fans fell in love. Carson Beck would still be in a coma.
Gunner fits Georgia's personality. He's not perfect. He still needs to develop in several areas. But he's gritty, tough, and inspires his teammates to play hard. Carson Beck didn't have those qualities, and that's why most Georgia fans don't miss him.

Becks fall from grace, injury and then splitting up and getting drug on the internet by his Instaho seemed to have brought him down a notch. He was an easy punching bag for UGA fans but I don’t blame him for leaving given the circumstances and part of me was happy for him when he ran for the score last night.
He sat for two years watching Stet win nattys and now he’s getting his shot.
Has there ever been another QB in college that played in two Championship games and won two nattys with 2 different teams?

That is a good point.

Miami won that game in spite of Carson Beck

Miami made despite Beck. There is no way anyone can make the case Miami got better because of him.

Miami’s game plans in the playoffs look like they are trying to protect their quarterback getting paid as much as Tyler Shough.
Why in God’s name does a 7th year player needs to be treated like he’s Greg McElroy?
Because Miami discovered mid season that they can’t toss it around 40 times a game with Beck and play high level football.
If Beck were still at Georgia, they wouldn’t have done anything more than they did. Beck is just a guy. Stockton could have hit the plays Beck was being asked to execute with the run game they’ve developed over the season.

I can’t really argue with the OP on this. Remember, wide receiver drops were the #1 issue w/ Beck last year at UGA, and we fixed that this season, primarily via the portal.
Also, we fixed the running game which was non-existent during Beck’s last year at UGa. That would have opened up the passing game for him a good bit.

Not in the part I watched (4th quarter).
Ole Miss never laid a hand on him and he cut them to ribbons.

And Georgia isn't worse without him.
It's possible that Beck/Miami is a better fit than Beck/Georgia.
I know for a fact that Gunner/Georgia is a better fit.

I think he’s gonna make a career of holding a clipboard on the sidelines
