Watching this ‘chip and loving it. M St is up 21-14 halfway through the 3rd. Illinois St just scored when the RT fell on the ball after an offensive fumble into the end zone.
Looks like actual student athletes on both sidelines playing their hearts out for the love of the game.

Was watching that at a bar before returning home. First, the effort of the Montana St. receiver on the TD before half was insane!
But I have a question. Knowing nothing about FCS I assume they have their own ranking system. M state has a 2 by their name on the score line. I state has nothing. Does this mean an unranked FCS team is playing for the Natty???

Yes. I believe I heard the announcer say that no one had ever gone on the road for 4 straight games in the playoffs and made the NC game.

Yes, but the Cinderella run is over. They were 5-3 in conference play and got hot. Besides the blowout loss to Oregon, the Bobcats only loss was in OT the next week to South Dakota State. They beat their rivals (Montana) twice, once in regular season and once in playoffs.
I love their facilities in Bozeman.

Not necessarily unranked, just unseeded. They finished the regular season ranked #17.

Ahhh, so the number next to the name is the seed in post-season tourney or something? Again, I’m unfamiliar with FCS.
