The greatest man to ever exist in Oxford. Statues, poon tang pie for life, a respectful man coach and champion. To do it at a school that has never even reached the sec title game wow what a life he had in wonderful Oxford. Instead he left for a place where coach o won and Les won and Meh GJ if you get one but you didnt make history and will likely soon be fired. Biggest mistake of his life and he realizes it but is trying to bury those emotions

What ole miss is achieving now could never be replicated at lsu. I mean we are talking Ole miss. Kiffin has never even been to a damn sec title game

For sure, LSU could never make a 4 team playoff.

Most of these coaches can't forge their own paths. They always look for easy mode.

Cignetti said Frick easy mode.

Are you sure about that. Three HC at LSU have won a national championship.

Technically 4, and there's a 5th that is very legitimate and should be claimed.

I hope Ole Miss wins it all and if they do he will probably be okay with it since he built that team. But as of now the Rebels haven't won it yet and Lane moved to play the long game anyway.

You are correct. Which is why Kiffin went to LSU. He doesn't need to kill himself scouting D2 quarterbacks and 2* running backs to compile a generational run at LSU.

it’s already been done many times. That feeling of starting and winning somewhere that never won is special. Spurrier spoke of it often

My bad...I forgot 1958 and 1908. We could also claim 2011 but I will let that one slide.

Last time Ole Miss won a Football NC, 62 years ago, in 1963.

Yes he could have become a legend at ole miss. Even as an lsu fan I’m still shocked he left that situation.
But if he somehow wins 2 titles at LSU (will be tough, but not entirely out the realm of possibility), he automatically becomes our greatest HC ever. Above saban, Les, O, and dietzel.
It’s not like following saban at bama or dabo at Clemson. All our championship coaches only have 1 championship.

But yea I agree if he wins one, he’s just another championship coach that lsu had. He wouldn’t be a God like he would be in Oxford.

I'm convinced he left due to some dirty laundry in Oxford that he had to run from. No other explanation.

Why would he have to run if apparently no one knew about it?

I believe this is stage 3 of the grief cycle called "Bargaining". Next is "Depression", that comes next season after LSU beats ole miss in Oxford and Ole Miss goes 8-4 or worse. You'll finally get to "Acceptance" by 2027.

Took them 12 years to uncover Jerry Sandusky's secrets after he left Penn State

Penn State covered for him. Is Ole Miss covering for their former coach?

Well no, people knew about it at the time. They just covered it up.

What is Ole Miss covering up?
