Hurrah! We are about to be a
NBS: No Basketball School.
NBS: No Basketball School.
2.5 million can buy how many football players in the transfer portal.
Please understand, we are trying to fund Kelly's, and Scott Woodwards buyout. At the same time we have hired a coach at 13 million a year and we have committed to 40 million a year in NIL. All this money is coming from TAF doners and needs to be raised.
We have to be fiscally responsible. Paying McMahon another 7 odd million would be fiscally irresponsible. It is simply not worth it. Let him finish his contract and go and we can start a fresh. Actually I would not spend on MBB NIL because it is a waste. McMahon could not win the SEC with Michael Jordan, LaBron James, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Magic Johnson starting.
Just save the money and spend it somewhere else.

Do you know what doxxing is? Or Did you think the LSU alumni kept his name hidden?
He used to want the publicity until this backfired. His username is his actual name on multiple social media accounts. His name was on the article that he doxxed this person in. He has “geaux tigers” on his public profile along with other LSU posts that were public before this backfired. LINK
Brad Duplessis was the only one doxxing in this situation.
What I meant was you would be fine if he doxxed a liberal.....

ULL is ranked and we're not
Looks like an Oooh! La La moment for LSU baseball.
This happened in football in 2020.
Sun Belt Billy took Oooh La La to a ranking at the end of the season and parlayed his way to becoming the worst coach in Florida history
:spank::spank::spank:
and a buyout which made him a rich man......
That year Ed Oh! took us to a 5-5 finish, one year removed from the greatest NCAA football season ever....which he parlayed into a nice buyout...that allows him to take off his shirt and dance at wedding parties after the guests have left.
:booboo: :booboo: :booboo: :booboo:
Jokes appart...seriously....
.....just relax, JJ is not Ed Oh!
He has already won 2 nattys and will win many more.....

but for Florida's sake I hope Matt Deggs is no Sun Belt Billy....

Maybe McMahon can take over the baseball program. He might just be the answer.
.....oh my are about to lose McMahon to Arkansas baseball as a replacement for DVH. We need to lock him to a 10 year 100 million contract...................
That sir, is the state of college athletics.

The damage to the basketball program is complete already. Financially, we are already paying a massive buyout for BK. We need to raise money for all the NIL commitments we have made. Ask, where will the money come from...
Honestly, I would rather have him stay on and finish his contract, so we can start a fresh....lets. save the buyout money....
Face it...LSU has never been a basketball school....

O failed miserably at OM, and failed miserably at LSU once the brains of Brady and Aranda left the building.
Actually without Burrow, Coach O's record at LSU is pretty poor.
It was not just Brady and Aranda, it was also Burrow.
Also Jay Johnson has won before LSU and is the only coach not named Skip Bertman to win multiple national championships. So a 5 game bad patch should hardly be calls for comparison with the worst coach in school history.

It's LOUISIANA, bitch
I am a ULL graduate, and I still think it is ULL. It is not Louisiana, nor will it ever be.
I am also a 2 time LSU graduate the way.
Kelly reminds me of the lazy professor, who let's his Teaching Assistants prepare all his teaching material, his Reaserch Assistants do all his publishable research and he just shows up in class unprepared, teaches some nonsense, and does not give a damn about how much students learn.
Now this may work fine for a tenured professor with no actionable key performance metrics and no incentive or motivation to do better, but for an LSU HC that is a disaster.
Kudos to Gov. Landry, Verge and the new LSU president for pulling this off.

UL in 2025 had $225M in research funding.
LSU in 2025 had $360M in research funding, when you remove the medical school.
I guess we are living in a world of alternate facts....
I am doctoral alumni of UL ( which department you can guess....the only one which has a semblance of national recognition ).
UL will always be redneck u. LSU will be national university top tier ( 2 masters engineering and csc ).
Please stop comparing the two.

They also have the flagship school, University of Louisiana.
I totally agree with this. I am a LSU and UL alumni and I think while LSU is a national research university...UL is redneck U and therefore the flagship.

Just $50000.....I thought it was $50000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

I guess He can build a golf course and mountain resort there.

Most of their curling team and three hockey players are from Alberta, so once they join the USA as our 51st state (or if we swap Minnesota for them) we should add to our medal count in 2030.
We should take Alberta from Canada and give them Minnesota, Illinois, the US North East, California, Washington,Oregon, Colorado and New Mexico.
That way there will be a clear separation of red and blue states.
Then we can rewrite the constitution to make it a monarchy with Him crowned as God Emperor. We can then build a constitution based on the Bible ( especially the curse of Ham) and all will be well.

and Kelly played him anyway
Because Kelly had no choice. Van Buren would not have won @Clemson in week 1 and Florida early in the season.
Kelly's problem is he put everything into recruiting Bryce Underwood and did not recruit another QB. When Bryce flipped, he was left without options and by the he had already checked out and did not care anymore.

It there a chance, that some Athletic Departments go bankrupt when boosters and fans throw in the towel and say enough?
Under such conditions who pays the bills. The university, the state ( a.k.a tax payers) ?
NIL is being funded by millionaire and billionaire boosters. They are doing this for ego and influence...but at some point they will realize that this does pay back as much. For every $t they spend, these guys want $5 back. What happens when they do not get that back.
I think the system takes care of itself in a few years when the money runs dry.
