What happened to them was not nice. It would be akin to Miles taking the Michigan job on the morning of the 2007 SEC championship game.
It will take some time. When we going to Oxford 2 years from now, the hatred will be less....
Also once Trinidad is gone, I think their program under Pete Golding will be a dog pile of bullshite.

Neither are playoff teams. Ole Miss won the game on high emotion. They are a very ordinary team with 2 great players.
LSU has a lot of injuries already and a very hard schedule. Now that they have lost one game they can afford to lose maximun 1 more. Vandy qent 10-2 and did not make the playoffs last year.

Kiffin's exit from Tennessee was not as bad.
He left after the season ended, somewhere in February because Pete Carrol left USC for the Seahawks at the end of the NFL. It was just before National Signing day. Tennessee's recruiting class fell apart as recruits ran for cover else where.
Before the portal and NIL, recruiting was everything and Tennessee was hurt.
Still it was not that bad and it was a long long time ago......2010.....16 years ago, when he was 35 years old and USC was certainly a better job, considering that California was fertile recruiting ground and Tennessee was not.

I would be fine with LSU and Miami swapping places for $150 million. That way the $10-$20 million we lose each for being in the ACC over the SEC, and Miami can join the SEC and never sniff a playoff again.
Or if Sankey wants his fellow octogenarian, UNC will be a swell addition.

I think Wednesday's federal court ruling is a given. I think Sankey has the votes to expel us for "lack of institutional control"
The key facts are:
1. The problem is we did not violate any SEC by laws. Our roster does not have the pro players and it is frozen now.
2. So we are being expelled for "lack of institutional control" even though institutional control has kept us from violating any SEC by laws.
3. This is being driven by Ole Miss and Tennessee for their irrational hatred for Kiffin for quitting.
4. In a world where coaches at the drop of an hat, when players walk away and enter the transfer portal in the middle of the season for disputes over NIL money, Kiffin is the "DISLOYAL ONE"
Sankey, Ole Piss and the Misses at Tennessee can do whatever they want, I want to see LSU fight and obtain restitution for revenue loss, intentional affliction of emotional distress.
I want Sankey sued till he is put in the grave.
I want Sankey to go broke for defending himself in court.

We are not an AAU.member, so not the big 10. An independent like ND and nobody is televising our games.

How will they determine a champion if everyone at least does not play the same no of games.
Also, we have done nothing wrong till this point...whether a player practices, enrolls in school or not does not matter. So long as we do not roster him and he does not dress for the game, there is no violation.....

Honestly, we should leave the SEC. Maybe whichever conference we go to can negotiate a better media deal. They will be adding a 4 time national champion in football and a 7 time national champion in baseball.

Unlikely to happen... We will most likely stay in the SEC like a sanctioned pariah and financially bankrupt.
If we do chose to leave it will be for the Big12.
The Big10 will not take us because we are not an AAU member institution.
The ACC handcuffs its team so they cannot leave. It is better to go to the Big12.
Ultimately the playoffs will expand to 24 and then the conference membership and play will be moot. So the pathway to the playoff will become easier....
