I suspected we were in trouble after listening to the coaches’ press conference

Cignetti sounded mad and said his team wasn’t ready and needed to have a much sharper practice. DeBoer praised the Tide’s most recent practice and was his usual eternally optimistic self.

Cignetti sounded just like Saban sending a message to his team through the media. That’s when I thought we were in trouble.

Meanwhile Grubb said he expected us to be a different team in the first quarter. He backed it up with 3 points.

This whole coaching staff (minus KW) is out of their element.

Yeah I understand not beating up players right now as seasons over and you don’t want to damage any potential draft prospects BUT I needed to hear this is not acceptable. We have some serious soul searching to do from coaches on down. Trust me when I say we are going to get this fixed. Did not hear any of that.

We didn't score until the second half.

Kw still has some growing to do. He continued to blitz, blitz and go man when that wasn't working. He had no answers. Not all in on the scheme. Can see progress though.

I knew it was bad when he said something about them watching film and that was all it took. To me that was like Joe Namath telling his coach with the Jets to stop showing film or the team would be overconfident.

Kane wasn’t perfect but the defense pulled all the weight this season. Imagine how nasty they would’ve been if the offense didn’t take quarters off every single game.

I was referring to the pre-game press conference with the two coaches together, but I hear you. I’m not looking forward to listening to the post game so I’ll probably avoid it for a while.

Couldn't have said it better.

I like Wommack. I’d still love brining in Pruitt. To whatever capacity and bring some fire to the staff. I’d trade wommack for Pruitt right now honestly.

I suspect Somolian ran daycares in MN had a more productive last week than Bama football did in practice and preparation.

I did and it wasn’t what I wanted to hear. Talks about emotions after the loss and it doesn’t sit well with team but all they can do is start over and work to fix things now I did catch a statement about surrounding yourself with the right people and I took that as him referring to some coaches. Guess we will see over the next two weeks because you have to start getting them into place for the spring.

Another thing that concerned me was when Cignetti mentioned he’d been following DeBoer’s career and how they played offense. That didn’t make me feel good either.

Oats talks like that a bunch as he’s a film/basketball junkie. I’ve never heard DeBoer say anything close to it.

To be fair he never really says anything of substance.

Minus Kane Womack? His defense just gave up 215 yards on the ground. Most of that was in the second half when everyone knew Indiana was basically in clock killing mode. I don’t think he deserves any pass

They won because of the run game, lol

They were getting 5-7 yards a carry and routinely had 3rd and 2 or less

The defense carried us this year. They definitely quit after it became clear the offense had no shot at winning this game, but they played good enough to win the 1st half.

Stepping back and looking over the whole season, defense was fine/good. Offense just didn’t have it, particularly the running game. That has to change

Sure they were. They’re a bunch of 4 and 5 stars. Womack is basically a slight upgrade from Pete Golding

It seems like there has been an influx of much younger fans that have forgotten every lesson we learned under Saban.

Saban gave everyone the blueprint and built a dynasty, and then Greg Byrne went out and hired the exact opposite of Saban. Unbelievable.

It's troubling that such a large portion of our fanbase think DeBoer will work out
