It would be great entertainment and would solve this farce of a situation.

Yeah, they are good football teams with good coaches. They just aren’t capable of developing a roster with NIL/transfer.

Boise could have competed back in the day, but these are very different times.

It doesn’t help that teams like Utah also joined conferences. The best G5 teams are now P4, it’s too thin. Boise St has never recruited like Utah did, they just dominate the weak west coast G5 teams

Having matchups like Tex-Oregon and
ND-Ole Miss would have been must watch TV.

I didn’t mention BYU because, frick BYU.

Those two games would have got the highest ratings of any games in the 1st round.

The United Press International, a large news agency, announced they would release their own “Small College” Top 25 and name a “Small College National Champion.” They use to have their own poll why not have a playoff

That’s exactly what the current CFP will be within 5 years. All of the G5 is in it, it’s organized, and it’s funded. That’s the hard part, especially for the conferences with less funding.

There’ll be some more sorting between conferences, and then the big boys will abandon ship and create their own playoff. What’s left will still generate more revenue than what they had before, and there’s nothing they can do about it anyway.

It’s total bullshite having two in the playoffs this year. Hopefully they get their own playoffs. Also whoever cut the deal with Notre dame getting in either own rules needs to be fired. This has to be fixed.

I tend to agree, folks wouldn't. Perhaps in larger numbers than the FCS gets, but still to your point, it's pale in comparison to the real playoff.

And it doesn't matter. It needs to happen. Having Tulane and JMU in is a farce.
