Not sure how I feel about this. Our QBs under Sheridan have not been coached out of their tendancies.

I think he has a better eye for talent than a talent for coaching.

I find it kind of bizarre that Shepherd and Sheridan are the two guys who get poached off this staff when our defense, especially the DBs, has been the strength of the team and the guys who are responsible for coaching them have actual HC experience.

I think the current trend in college football is promoting offensive guys

Sheridan is getting a promotion to OC after being demoted from OC

Shepherd is also getting a promotion, while not many WR coaches jump to head coach immediately

Unless our position coaches on defense start taking DC roles you’re not seeing any movement. The only angle right now is Kane to HC

The other positive is if/when Grubb leaves Sheridan will have additional experience playcalling as well

?heridan is well liked by our players, and has been a big part of our success in recruiting QBs like Keelon Russell recently.

Interesting situation. I could see Mack ending up there. I like Fitzgerald and think he will do well.

Yeah I wouldn’t be shocked if one of Mack or Russell ends up there. More shocked if Russell. But our QBs seem to really love Sheridan. He’s great at building relationships with the players.

If I were Mack and my intentions were to transfer, it would be to somewhere much warmer than East Lansing, Michigan.
