Low scoring, elite coaching chess match.
Regular fans will see a boring SEC game, football nerds and true ball knowers will love this game.

5 common opponents; OU is +47, BAMA + 45. OU beat Bama 23-21. Both teams are playing similar coming into this rematch. This is a coin flip game.

What worries me….OU has been better on the road. Home field can sometimes be a detriment, not an advantage. Make of that what you will.

No prediction on a winner but I believe this game barely goes over the total 41.5.

Winds are going to be up. That ain't good for a passing game, and many of my Bama brethren and me think we should shuck the run game and go to a spread offense to get Ty back into rhythm, esp since the run game ain't working.

Def take the under. Probably take OU in an outright win, if I weren't a Bama man. Agree it will be a great football game in Norman, and on a Friday night.

Heh, 18 mph winds is a calm Oklahoma day.

OU needs to make sure they have the south endzone in the fourth. No need to line up on offense, just have Tate kick the feildgoal.. should be good from the tunnel.

Our defense is good, and should keep Oklahoma in check, but Mateer is capable of making some big plays, and it seems like his thumb is pretty healed. And Sategna can be electric with the ball in his hands.

That is to say, if the offense from the SECCG shows up tomorrow, and our the t.o.p. starts stacking up against our D, then it will likely be a long game for Bama.

And obviously, if we turn the ball over multiple times again, and our special teams are bad, then it will be a long game for Bama.

We'll see, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'm really excited for this game tomorrow night, I dont particularly care who wins but I'm ready for a good football game. Good luck to Oklahoma and Alabama fans!

Both are quality teams and are capable.

I’m excited too. It feels like it’s been forever since we played.

Regardless of who you want to win, it’s cool to see 2 all-time programs going at it in a huge game on campus.

Seeing those 2 logos and crimson helmets squared up on TV just feels right. I hope OU wins but if Bama gets the better of us this time, I just want one of us to send a message to these BIG teams starting next week.

I always like to see two good defenses in a game. I hope it is a good one.

Yeah probably low scoring. OU can’t expect another pick six this game.

How is OU going to generate more offense? Run game improvement?

My prediction was Bama to look good early, then Mateer and OU to clutch it out late in the game and win.

Dress Mayfield with make-up to look like Mateer and keep his helmet on the whole time. That’s our only shot to have a competent offense.

Key injury report:

Probable

TE #80 Josh Cuevas

He is a difference maker.

I was hoping for something a little more than make believe. It would be a nice story to see OU win. But it’s usually harder to win rematch games.

Just wondering what the angle is from OU fans that have them feeling optimistic.

Is there a sentiment that the thumb is finally healed and Mateer’s passing accuracy will improve?

I don't know anybody that really truly feels optimistic. Hopeful, praying for Sooner Magic, trying to speak it into reality? yes, Truly optimistic and confident? no

Never under-estimate Grubb's ability to try and prove how cute he can be on play calling....Too complicated on passing, too simple on running plays.

I think Sooner Magic looks like creating more turnovers.

Maybe not a flipping the field pick six, but just giving your offense shorter fields. Like a turnover at midfield that would still results in points even if the offense is struggling to sustain long drives.

Because the kicker is really good.

I'm thinking O/U is somewhere around 30-35.

That's just playing good football, not Sooner Magic
