Pavia isn’t doing anything after next week he’s a 25 year old 6 years in college , He is not an NFL caliber player . He really reminds me of a lesser Manzel

Staying behind Ohio State in rankings, no Heisman invite …. Things are taking shape nicely.

TBH he's not "there" yet. Maybe next year.

His stats are there but usually the hype machine has to be there too and Gunner has just sneakily worked his way up to an impressive season. I think he’ll be a front runner next year.

Gunner is #6 in QBR. His TD #'s aren't gawdy so maybe why.

That this award (and other position awards) aren't given out at the end of the season when the last game has been played is an absolute tragedy.

He will be there next year as a front runner. Has the chance to be a 2 x Natty winner like Stetson.

Tech game crushed Gunner’s chances unfortunately. I think the right 4 are in New York but glad Kirby can continue to use things as motivation.

Gunner would say that he's not disappointed and would much rather win the NC than an individual award. Fuel to the fire that is Gunner.

Gunner and Marcel Reid both dropped out in the last weekend of the regular season.

Next year they'll be the two Heisman frontrunners and all is not lost.

His stats are there

I'm not downplaying gunner at all, and couldn't be happier he's our guy. But his stats definitely aren't "there" compared to the other 3 guys. Comparing those 3 + Gunner, GS is:

-4th in yards (few hundred yards behind 3rd place)
-4th in average (57th in this category, while the other 3 are all in the top 5)
-4th in TDs
-4th in completion percentage
-1st in lack of INTs
-4th in QB Rating (by a lot, the other 3 are all in the top 5)

He's definitely got some good rush stats going for him but so do the others. I love gunner, wouldn't trade him for any of those other 3, but in today's game you've got to put up eye popping stats and gunner simply doesn't stuff the stat sheet like the others.

Gunner has done great overall this year. We just run too balanced of an offense for any one player to get a lot of Heisman hype, at least typically.

I hope you’re kidding. Tech’s hideous defense made Gunner look pedestrian. Their defense held him to 16 points. That ended what hope he had for heading to New York.

And Mendoza and Sayin had 13 and 10 points to their name last week
