What would everyone think about a Group of 5 CFP?

Keep the scrubs out of the Top Tier CFP.

Thoughts?

1 hundo for it. Relegation would sweeten it more.

I was at a work party on Saturday, watching the games, and I said this exact thing.

Take the top 12 out of the P4 and let the G5s do a 12-team playoff too.

I'm not gonna go as far to say have a college super bowl after that, but 2 playoffs would give us more, and most importantly, competitive football.

That is what I want. Every Conference has a sub conference. Top team in sub conference replaces the bottom of the G5.

I think it’s a grand idea and makes sense. Which is why it won’t happen for years and years

It's the CFP, not the SEC/Big12 Challenge. If you finish 4th in the conference, don't whine about missing the playoffs.

...and SC calling other teams scrubs is laughable.

LOL, then maybe South Carolina would have a chance, after getting relegated.

Or at least fight a little harder in their last game.

Nah, keep ‘em in the Big Dance. That’s what makes the NCAA Basketball so interesting. A mid-major team could get hot and pull an upset or two.

Think Boise or Utah when they got a BCS game.

I think it’s refreshing to put these teams in and not have the same “blue bloods” every year. Cough- ND- Cough…

Except that this will almost never happen in football compared to basketball.

Pair up the winners of the G5 and P4 playoffs for an AFC/NFC style championship game.
