But with the absolute massive tantrum Notre Dame has been throwing these past 24 hours I'm actually glad they're not in. If they wanted in they should have fully integrated into the ACC but they didn't so they're getting left out
Now we have this new bullshite rule that automatically allows them in it they're ranked in the top 12 which screws over a conference champ. I can only hope this applies to other independents like UConn maybe they go on a crazy run and knock out the Irish next year

I thought they could have picked any 2 of the 3 for #9 and #10 and I was happy with whatever.
If you lose more than 1 game, you go where they put you.
But, after that display yesterday, I think they picked the right 2 of the 3.
Not like they haven't before, but they showed who they really were yesterday.

I do not get the idea behind "we're not going to play our bowl game". Even during Covid, there were some quitters then that I did not expect.

ESPN should bully them. Advise recruits to look elsewhere because ND would rather make political statements than play football games. 100% complete media blackout. Refuse to broadcast them. Make them write an apology. Or let them play the 330 CBS games nobody watches against Rutgers and Maryland.

If the are in the top 12 starting next year the CFP has to seed them in the playoff.

They make a lot of noise for a team that played the 43rd "hardest" schedule in CFB. But it's Notre Shame, this doesn't surprise me.

I think CFP will frick them over by purposely ranking them #13 next year to spite them. Their 2026 schedule is a joke.

I don't see how they will ever be not ranked in the top 12. They literally get to make their own schedule.

Yep if it means teams like SMU and JMU aren't in the playoffs then I'm good with it. Though it does seems absurd that ND gets this special rule.

No, current rule is top 5 conf Champs get an auto-bid.
This year was weird with an ACC worse than two G5 conferences.

They deserved to beat A&M. Horrendous no call on an obvious hold. Stop acting like they are that bad. Was A&M's schedule that much of a gauntlet?
