We can’t see route runs on tv for the most parts. Anyways, what’s going on with our lack of separation? I mean I never hardly see anyone comfortably open. Are they just not good route runners or do they half arse their routes?

I saw plenty of wide open guys tonight on the replays.

It ain't our wide receivers

They were open a lot. Problem is Ty can’t hit them consistently and when he actually does they drop the ball at a pretty high rate.

Pausing to see why WRs arent open....its clear they ar running deep routes that take longer than Ty has to throw because of pressure...they arent turned looking for the ball and there is no quick out a lot of times. It seems to be a design issue...too many long routes not enough 3 or 4 yd stuff...like UGA did to move the sticks...10 drops didn't help either

You mean receivers were open on those horrible Grubb play calls?

I guess they're good but drop the ball in critocal moments

There are multiple factors.
1) defenses are sitting on short and intermediate stuff with safeties deep. You aren’t getting open against those looks easily.
2) defenses are blitzing frequently now because our OL is frequently blowing assignments and our QB has been poor down the stretch at making them pay for doing it.
3) we barely even try throwing to deep routes anymore due to a combination of poor accuracy, lack of arm talent at the moment (injury?), an unfortunate number of drops when we do get them the ball and I think some issues with feeling pressure from 2 even when it isn’t there due to all the hits and the injury.

It’s not just the wide receivers, there’s a multitude of issues with our offense the last several games. We can’t run, we can’t throw deep, we can’t pass block, and we have trouble with drops…
That being said, did you see the contested catches the Indiana WRs were making against a great OSU defense? I’d like to see some of that from our WRs…

We call more long developing pass plays. Thats basically it.

the blitzing is a major issue. When your Oline is so inept, its hard to design any plays that can beat it

When Ty was playing well earlier in the season, he was throwing receivers open. Now, he's waiting for receivers to be open before he will throw them the ball.
