the best player on the team is always the one on the bench not playing....until they enter the game
and doing it with 3* and 4* talent...players that want to win and work hard..portal helps also
Pausing to see why WRs arent open....its clear they ar running deep routes that take longer than Ty has to throw because of pressure...they arent turned looking for the ball and there is no quick out a lot of times. It seems to be a design issue...too many long routes not enough 3 or 4 yd stuff...like UGA did to move the sticks...10 drops didn't help either
the stats show we get worse in the second half...its why games are close.

Alabama scoring in the 2nd half this season
FSU 10 points
ULM 31 points
Wisconsin 17 points
Georgia 0 points
Vandy 16 points
Missouri 10 points
Tennessee 14 points
South Carolina 15 points
LSU 3 points
Oklahoma 7 points

averaging 8 points in the 2nd half of conference games - that's going to catch up to us and it did
with fans like this who needs enemies...Simpson was pressured all day and managed to at least keep us in the game. The defense lost this one, going for it twice on 4th and long was stupid when we could have got points, and taking a late hit when we had all the momentum and they would have been punting was idiotic...but blame the QB....this one was on the coaching staff and the defense...totally unprepared to match the intensity that FSU brought on both sides of the ball. We were, yet again, caught cold...that is on the staff. This isn't Bama ball...we lost both LOS and that's attitude.
I think with incoming players we are 40 or so over the roster limit so we will need the attrition either through the portal or leaving thru the draft. The real impact will be the "who" not how many.
Miami coach costs them by taking too long on 4th and 1 to call a play...
Losing at home by 22 to a team with a SOS of 75 vs losing on the road to top 10 teams by a total of 4 points? which is more deserving?
NFL is next level fast and physical...I dont see how he succeeds in his first year or two. Mac is getting drilled repeatedly and he's much bigger...BY would be injured pretty quick. He's also not that tall so would have to scramble...another year would do him good but the allure of the NFL and the $$ will probably mean he's gone.
every time is was a 2nd and 1 or 3rd and 1 UT ran the same play..read option and RB hand off in the middle...worked every time...where was our MLB? UT ran for over 180yds..a lot of that after first contact. HTT was carried 4 or 5 yards by the RB on multiple occasions..we need to be stronger at that position. Maybe Saban was sees it as he's mentioned noone is entitled to a position..i hope that is true.
Run the ball on first, second and third down...and if we still havent made 10 yards run it again...

Good guys - 45
Vandy - 3
Watching how UGA varies its attack and uses the TE's to great effect makes our offense look very vanilla. BoB seems to have zero interest in doing anything unexpected.
Did we run any quick slants? Bryce seems to hold the ball a long time like last year...yet when we tempo or play quicker we do better. BoB just seems to call plays that take a long time, putting pressure on the OL and it just doesnt seem to work...same issues as last year. When we go faster, we play better and score....
Maybe wearing Michigan colors for the final round isnt the best choice
Michigan are awful....who have they beaten that is a good win? Wisconsin? Penn State? They lost to the only ranked opponent they played. Its typical over ranking of B10 teams that they are at 5. I fully expect OSU to put the same smack down on them or worse than the one MSU received
I think BY gets locked into a read early, it could be a BoB thing or could be a timing thing since the OL isn't great and he's wanting to get rid of the ball quick. We don't seem to throw the middle much, the 4-6 yards for our WRs to then run. Could be there are routes there but BY does not throw them or he does not see them. I'd also like to see him roll out more. He's good on the run and it may help buy time. I agree that he missed a lot of opportunities..he seems to be reluctant to take a chance..great for low INT's not so much for getting sacked or 3 and outs.

speaking of a whole lot of nothing...who had Michigan beaten of note? to be ranked 6th? Same every year...B10 gets a lot of ranked teams for no reason...you'd think the pollsters would learn..prime example...Iowa

MSU has played and beaten a whole lot of nothing but I am sure that means nothing to the CFP committee.

Strength of schedule means little in the beginning so they will get ranked high

1 - UGA
2 - Bama
3 - MSU
4 - OU ( scraped through so far but 3 tougher games to come)

we were more effective with a quicker tempo and shorter passing. Slow developing plays hurt us. We need to go with quick passes more often. First down was a mess...so many negative plays...even 3 or 4 yards would be better...but we lost yardage on probably half the first downs we had. BoB isn't Sark unfortunately..he seems to have more hubris about his ability.

too much talent to be this inconsistent..on both sides of the ball. Its hard to get consistency when OC/DC turns over every year. Hire someone who will give us 203 yrs and then decide to move on. Tough goal but would greatly improve our play
